Canned tomatoes
Category: Blanks
Ingredients
Tomatoes as much as you like
Apple
cut into 4 pieces,
with skin, without core 1 pc.
Carrot
you can show off and figuratively cut 1 piece.
Sweet pepper without seeds 1 pc.
Plums or cherry plums 3-4 pcs.
Garlic 5-6 cloves
Cloves 2 pcs.
Bitter pepper 1/5 part of the pod
Sugar 3 tbsp. l.
Salt
at the rate of 1 tbsp. l per 1 liter of water 1.5 tbsp. l.
Vinegar 9% 3 tbsp. l.
Bay leaf 1-2 pcs.
Cooking method

Normal spoons with a small slide.
A 3 liter can contains approximately 1.5 liters of water.
My jars and put them to sterilize in a cold oven. I turn on the oven at full power for 15 minutes. After turning off the oven, without opening it, I give the banks 10-15 minutes to rest.
I take out the jars from the oven, put the washed tomatoes and all of the above ingredients, including salt, sugar and vinegar, pour boiling water under the very neck and cover them with boiled iron lids.
I put the cans in the oven and turn it on for 25 minutes. After 15 minutes I look in and if I see that the water from the cans is too actively flowing out, I reduce the fire. I turn off the oven. In turn, I take out the cans, twist, turn over and wrap them in a blanket until they cool completely. My canned food is kept in a regular closet. Smiling Great!
You can sterilize both jars and tomatoes in any way that is familiar to you.
While my oven is not working, I sterilize in a cannery like Admin. Huge THANKS to her for the idea
By the way, with a clear conscience, you can add cucumbers or cauliflower to the jar, it also turns out great

The dish is designed for a 3 liter jar.
Note
In connection with the continuation of the harvesting season, I want to bring out a recipe for delicious tomatoes. He is my favorite

Summer resident, I thought that I was the only one sterilizing jars with all sorts of blanks in such a barbaric way ... in the oven. It turns out that there are still such extreme people that it pleases the soul very much.
You have a wonderful tomato recipe! Apples, I somehow did not know to put, and I often add everything else, including cucumbers and bell peppers. It is really delicious !! It seems to me that you can make any assortment.
Zest
uhhh, I shoveled the whole forum until I got to this recipe (I wipe the sweat from my forehead).

In my opinion, he used to have some other name, like, my mother-in-law's favorite recipe

But this is not the point. According to this recipe, I twisted 5 3-liter cans for a sample. And since the cellar is roomy, and there are a lot of twists, we got to these cans not so long ago.
And what can I say? The husband and son grinded one jar, followed by the second ... this despite the fact that small pickled tomatoes do not like

As for me - so sweet. But as soon as he hinted about how to correct the recipe, the male population of the family rebelled and demanded to leave the recipe in its original form.

Thanks for the recipe))

Zest, eat for health !!! I make myself with two tablespoons of sugar and mark the jars with the letter I

all ingenious is simple)) And if up to 1.5 tbsp. l. reduce sugar, do not explode?
Summer resident
And why do they explode if you sterilize them? Only with 1.5 st. l. sugar they are somehow tasteless IMHO

They won't explode, that's for sure.
There are cherry plums and vinegar (3 tablespoons !!!!)
A matter of taste, of course, and vinegar does not add health, but this is how anyone likes
I shore myself and the children, so I only add cherry plum to a 3-liter can of tomato. And they are preserved, like cute ones, and no vinegar, and delicious
Summer resident
Then this is a completely different recipe and a different taste. In the original there is a plum, not a cherry plum.

But your recipe says
By the way, with a clear conscience, you can add to the jar cucumbers or cauliflower, it turns out great too
And this will not be (when adding cucumbers or other things)

already a completely different recipe and a different taste
?
Summer resident
The addition of other vegetables to this marinade does not change the taste of the tomatoes. And if you change the composition of the marinade, then the taste of tomatoes will also change.

I also love sweet tomatoes. And the cucumbers are sour.

Next year I will definitely make a recipe according to the Dachnitsa.
With plums and cloves. True, it seems to me that the taste of such tomatoes will resemble the taste of ketchup due to cloves.
Summer resident, or I'm wrong...
Zest
To be fair, I will say that I had neither plums nor cherry plums. For the rest, I did everything strictly according to the recipe. Well, I really liked it. For myself personally, I will roll jars with the letter I
Suslya
Zhivchik, cloves do not give the taste of ketchtup at all, I throw 5-6 things on the can very much, I respect this business. And this time I threw the celery twigs, I sooooo liked the tomatoes acquired such a flavor, now I will always do this.

And I only put parsley, onions and garlic, black peppercorns and allspice, I put lavrushka. True, I take out the parsley and bay leaf with the last filling. As a result, tomatoes, sometimes with peppers, flaunt in a jar of clean brine.
Zest
I add a couple of sprigs of celery without fail, I really like this taste))
Elenka
Agree with Zest! Tomatoes are very friendly with celery!
Somehow I closed it with basil, but they didn't feel the taste, somehow it got lost ...

Anise never tried adding? My mother-in-law puts him in all the twists ... the taste is peculiar, I can't say for sure, bad or good, but ... you don't always want it ...
Elenka
Zest, have not tried and do not wantuuuu. I treat him as a medicine, not very pleasant (do you remember ammonia-anise drops?) But I really liked the tarragon (tarragon) in cucumbers.
It seems we have gotten away from the topic ...
