Lola_Press, but how to make horns with this cone?
Lola_Press
You just take off the hot product, wrap the cone, wait a few minutes until the cooling wafer takes the form of a horn. Not very convenient, because someone has to help. You bake waffles and someone makes horns.

KEKSIK, hmm, I looked at your link, it is very interesting, gave a link to Yandex, hee-hee, there is no such thing in Ukraine, except to look for the shops themselves?

And what I want to ask is, who knows the recipe for those nuts? I have Soviet molds, but there is no recipe ...
Irino4ka
This waffle maker has now appeared in M-video in Moscow - in many stores. Who cares - all infa on the site. Price - 2690r, who has a store card - a discount (did not specify how much). On Friday I am going to Varshavka after her, otherwise I was planning to go to Polezhaevskaya, I was only there a week ago.
GruSha
Irino4ka, do you mean a waffle iron for thin waffles?
Irino4ka
no, for the thick ones - a waffle iron with removable panels, if I'm not mistaken-efbe (something else) ..ZN 3. In previous posts there was a link to it.

Recipe for crunchy crumbly nuts
Beat 3 eggs with 1 cup granulated sugar.
Add 200gr. softened margarine, 2 cups flour, a pinch of salt and stir.
Pour the dough into molds with two teaspoons (take the dough with one spoon, about 1/3 tsp. L., Take off the other and stretch the dough in both directions along the length with these two spoons).
According to this recipe, I used to bake in a Soviet iron hazelnuts, and now in a German bake. Try it, you will like it.
Bon Appetit!

RybkA, here's the recipe. I also have a mold for nuts. Probably, only this mold is capable of suppliers from Ukraine. It's a pity that I bought the mold for a long time, and in new houses there are already electric stoves. You can't make nuts on them, because there is more smoke than the result.

Anyone who needs it. The Efbe-Schott ZN 3 electric waffle iron appeared on sale here: 🔗... I just ordered, phoned back, they will bring the 16th.
P.S. Well, I didn’t have time to tell you, I think I’ll take another look, but they are no longer available. Gee, maybe they had her alone, did anyone see them there the other day?

They periodically appear there. I also bought there in due time.

Elena, the most interesting thing, three days ago I clicked Inform about the appearance, silence, I think let me take a look, and they are on sale, I immediately ordered it. Elena, did you pick it up at the office or was there a delivery? Something they take for the delivery of 350 scars, too much for such a baby.

And yesterday I tried to bake nuts. Well, what can I say, of course the waffle iron is wonderful, the baits are wonderful, but these are not at all the nuts that were baked in the old iron hazelnuts. They are much thicker, as they sell in stores. And in my old hazelnut, they turned out to be evenly fried and thin, a completely different taste. Although homemade ones are still better than store ones.
Irino4ka
than I did not like the old hazelnut (which is on gas), that oil was flowing from it, of course, now I cover everything with foil, but the nuts were really good there.
GruSha
Irino4ka, I agree, in the old hazelnuts, the nuts were different ...

I caught fire to buy an electric waffle iron, which is 3 in 1, mainly because of the hazelnut, but after the feedback on the result, it somehow got upset.

Mandarin duck,
but I'm also thinking about a new waffle iron (exclusively because of the nuts). I don’t have an old iron one, and even if there was, it would need gas in it, but I have a ceramic stove.
Let it be a little different than in childhood, but still it will be homemade nuts, which you know what you make.

So I'm FOR buying a waffle iron with nuts !!!
Zubastik
Mandarin duck, the nuts are really not so thin, but still very tasty! Imagine store-bought nuts (we have exactly the same ones that sell all sorts of small bakeries), but much tastier, the structure of the dough is different, the filling is entirely from condensed milk, and not a little bit of condensed milk plus crumbs plus butter.
I advise you to take it unambiguously, you just have to be prepared that the nuts are slightly different than in the old hazelnut.
In general, this waffle iron makes me very happy with the quality of performance. Recently I bought a machine for thin waffles on the Internet Great Rivers Kuban 5, here like before someone wrote about her. I have never seen such a low-quality horror - the non-stick coating broke off in some places, after a couple of days, upon a detailed examination from a distance of 5 cm, I found small holes all over the surface - a natural marriage, the dough will flow there. In general, it is unpleasant to hold in your hands, the coating inside smells like cheap china. Until now, I have not baked on it, it seems to me that it is harmful.
By the way, another minus (for someone a plus) Efbe shot is that she bakes for a very long time. I'm used to it when waffles are baked in just a couple of minutes, but you have to wait for this, you can walk around the apartment while the portion is baking. But it is convenient to cook waffles in parallel with other activities in the kitchen.
Kosharik
Oh, and I read on this thread that someone was happy with the waffle iron
Great Rivers Kuban-5, I even wanted to order it, but the supplier does not have them (they stopped producing it). I ordered one to one from Smile WM-3601. My husband has already taken it, today I will see it alive. By the way, I have not seen anything decent for thin waffles. I would have bought ours with pleasure, but the last time I met was 5 years ago in a store.

Sorry to strain and ask a lot of questions.

🔗

I've tried it. Disappointed. I ordered a pack of 8-10 waffles in Utkonos, more than 300 rubles ... They don't cost that much money ... an ordinary mixture of white flour, egg powder, baking powder and vanillin. It doesn't mix well, in lumps. If done according to the recipe, it is a thin dough and sticks strongly even to a heavily greased, practically new waffle iron. I like my own recipes (I gave in Temka about Philips 3 in 1) of waffle dough with the addition of yeast or sourdough, whole grain flour or oatmeal much more. In addition, I make a neutral taste, you can eat it as a sweet or as a base for toast, or you can add chopped fruits, berries, cinnamon, zest and these will be dessert waffles, or ham, bell peppers, fried onions, and there will be snacks. And here with this flour with vanilla, only dessert is possible.

Andreevna
Makhno, well, how do you like this waffle iron over time?
Hairpin
I have a Severin WA 2120 waffle iron. At first I doubted whether to write this post, because against the background of the owners of hazel waffle irons and, to put it mildly, by the number of waffle irons in my household, we (me and my waffle iron) look very grayish ... But then I decided that for the general monitoring my five cents may not be superfluous.
I bought it two years ago. And since I have a terrible habit of reading a lot, and especially all sorts of instructions for the technique, and, besides that, I try to follow them, this habit limited my communication with the waffle iron at one time. And then the waffle iron was removed to the back of the closet, from where I only took it out this weekend. My instructions say that surfaces should be greased with vegetable oil or grease. Lubricating the bottom surface is not difficult, but the top one ... In short, I honestly did my best to lubricate both surfaces in front of each waffle, and as a result, not only the surfaces, but the entire waffle iron, table, floor, and, of course, myself were in the oil. It is not technically difficult to wash yourself, the floor and the table, but how to wash the waffle iron (and it was covered in oil)? You can't just pour water from the ferry, because water could get on the contacts. I don’t remember the end of this sad story, but since then, at the word “waffle iron”, I see puddles of vegetable oil.
When I read this thread, I had a hope that oiling the surfaces with oil is also possible in Fig. And besides, if someone uses a waffle iron for Belgian waffles (I probably have one) as a sandwich maker, then why not give me a try? The sandwiches were great! Now I started learning how to make waffles.
There are recipes in the instructions. Among them are two:

1. Biscuit waffles:
5 egg yolks,
5 tbsp. l. hot water,
100 g of sugar
grated lemon zest,
150 g flour
½ tsp baking powder
5 egg whites, beaten
1 tbsp. l. rum,
icing.

2. Sand waffles:
200 g margarine or butter;
100 g of sugar
Grated zest of one lemon,
4 eggs,
200 g flour
½ tsp baking powder
1 tbsp. l. rum,
icing

I tried both. The first one was two years ago, and I don't remember anything except the sea of oil. The second one is the other day. The dough is very thick. When scooping up with a spoon, it did not drain into the waffle iron, it was necessary to pick it out with another spoon. Shouldn't the dough drip from the ladle, smoothly spreading over the waffle iron?
In this thread there are many links to recipes and recipes themselves. I would be very grateful for a couple (no more) of proven recipes for a waffle iron for Belgian waffles, otherwise the abundance just scares me ... And for the opinion about the recipes that I gave above. Is it worth starting with them and trying, otherwise I'm a little afraid of this instruction now ... I hope that the members of the forum will treat a person with a waffle-moral injury with condescension (this is me again about pools of vegetable oil).

Good afternoon everyone,
here, too, was puzzled by the purchase of a new waffle iron for making soft Belgian waffles. I studied the proposed options for a long time, but I probably won't combine them with nuts, even though there are small children in the family. I decided to put as the main preparation: soft thick waffles (since there is a Soviet waffle iron and works successfully) and possibly homemade cookies. From here the question is whether any waffle iron can be used both for waffle dough and for shortbread?
I am considering this model, but unfortunately I did not even find information on it on the Internet.

🔗

And another question is whether a heating power regulator is really necessary or can you adapt without it.

And I remembered about the waffle iron quite recently when I saw waffle irons and a jug of dough for the children for breakfast at a hotel in Tampere ...

Thanks in advance for your answers.
Qween
lrenola, I can not objectively say anything about the model that is proposed in your link.
I have a thick waffle maker for use on a gas stove. You can bake absolutely any waffles in it, both biscuit and shortbread, like cookies. The result is always good. Of course, there is no temperature regulator in this waffle iron, and this does not bother me.
Freken Bock
And mine is exactly like Mueslica Not so long ago I got burned. And it was bought when they just appeared. And a lot of waffles have been made in it. The husband repaired it, he says, the same iron, what's so complicated about it? Now she bakes waffles unevenly and they don't crunch. I just stopped using it, and the other day I learned from my husband that this is fixable. Actually, I don't like waffles, but children really like it. Thanks for reminding me.
Qween
Freken Bock , as you get the waffle iron, prepare the waffles, the recipe for which was given Anastasia - very tasty and crispy - you will not regret it.

Exit the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya metro station, directly opposite you will see a hardware store (I don't remember the name). Enter it, and immediately to the left are glass cubes with kitchen appliances. This waffle iron was in the left cubes.
Hairpin
In my waffle maker for Belgian waffles, I also bake both sand and biscuit waffles. I think that for everyone as well.
Regarding the regulator ... Better, of course, with the regulator. My Severin has a regulator, but Brand does not. After all, someone is fatter, and for someone it is softer. That is, the lack of a regulator causes discomfort.
Doroteika
I bought a waffle iron Smile. Earlier Shpilka wrote about her and exhibited photos of the resulting waffles. On my waffle, it turned out exactly the same as in the photo of Studs, one to one. So, I think this is not a marriage of any party, but in general all Smilies bake like that. But this is not reflected in the taste. And me and my husband, and even the neighbors liked it.
The only problem is that neither tubes nor horns came out. And that's it. I found several different recipes on the forum, tried only one. So I guess it's the recipe. I'll have to try different ones.
Of course, I would like to bake not only sweet waffles, but also some for beer, for example. Throw in the recipe.
Mams
DoroteikaTo make the tubes, the waffles must be rolled hot. That is, right away, removed from the heating element and wrapped. If they cool down a little, everything will break. And bake them not as thick, but as thin as possible. That is, pour the dough to a minimum. And the dough should not be too thick.

Hairpin, this store is called Electric World, it seems Polaris in it (as a landmark). And in this pavilion (besides a decent selection of ordinary dishes), there are many different interesting things. Vegetable dryers were in season - well, very different. Well, in general, for those who are "sick" before technology like us - an interesting shop.
Doroteika
The dough turned out to be stringy, maybe the waffles really turned out a little thick. And I tried to roll it hot, but for some reason they immediately broke. I will try other recipes.
Thanks for the advice.

Recently I bought a Kletronic waffle iron, today I baked Belgian waffles according to this recipe:
For 6 servings:
750 g flour
450 ml warm milk
400 g butter or margarine
300 g sugar pieces
70 g fresh yeast
4 whole eggs
some salt
vanilla sugar
waffles didn't likepancake-like, lusciously sweet, rubbery.
Please give me a normal recipe for edible waffles, otherwise I'm already starting to regret having bought a waffle iron.
Jufa
Please tell me, are there any waffle irons that bake tartlets ??? I really want to !!!
Qween
JUFA , there is!
I only saw it once, twisted it in my hands, and my mother dissuaded me. Now I regret not having bought it.
Amberg
And I have an Alaska waffle iron. So: she bakes exclusively white, disgusting rags! I have tried many dough recipes, and these so-called waffles remain as white as the dough itself, and even soft, like ... And I want toasted, but stronger, like cookies. But, they say, in Germany you will not find such waffle irons, because the Germans respect exactly SOFT waffles! And then I look at the photo of this purple one, since she bakes nuts, maybe the waffles are crispy in it? At least these are for sale here. Advise someone what exactly to buy!
Zubastik
I do not advise anyone to buy waffle irons Kuban-5, Smail and all the same design. Today I tried my new Kuban-5. Disgusting! The waffles are burning on one side and white on the other. The handles are heated so that you can hold onto them only through the oven mitt.
Amberg, it is certainly unrealistic to advise. Does it really depend on the waffle iron? I just cannot understand how it is possible to bake different waffles from the same dough, provided that the waffle iron is for thin waffles. Or maybe it heats up for a long time and needs to be kept much longer? Have you heard of Cloer? How does their waffle maker bake them? I wanted to dress myself up like this, the company really inspires confidence. But I have never heard reviews.
