Iris in the microwave

Ingredients

Natural condensed milk 200 g
Butter 1 tbsp. l.
Vanilla sugar 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • It's so easy and so fast! And so delicious! See for yourself!
  • Pour milk into a deep dish suitable for microwave
  • 🔗
  • Add butter, vanilla sugar and microwave for 15 minutes at low power. I used a power of 360 (if available - 180, 360, 540, 720, 900). Stir the contents several times during cooking. As a result, the color will be like this
  • 🔗
  • Ready-made iris can be immediately poured into oiled molds, or, after cooling to a warm state, you can mold different figures from it. Put in the cold to solidify.
  • And if you cook condensed milk for a shorter time, then you get an ordinary boiled condensed milk.

Time for preparing:

15 minutes

And it would be better to close the saucepan with a lid - otherwise there will be no toffee - but caramel! Experimenting recently!

No, I didn't close. Sveta, do you know exactly such a recipe? And I thought I had come up with it myself ... I took a long time to choose the appropriate power - at a higher power, the milk froths too much and could run away. And I wrote about stirring to be on the safe side. The first times I stirred it, but now I don’t do it - the milk, periodically boiling, mixes itself perfectly and evenly.
P.S. Now I climbed, looked in the internet - I did not find such a recipe. Eat with ordinary milk, cocoa, honey ... Can you give a link?

Dopletochka, my friend, can you advise me the power. I have small 450 and 300, which one to choose?

May @, try first at 300, as a last resort you will add time. Or vice versa - cook at high power for 10 minutes.

No - I didn't know such a recipe .... I wrote - I experimented ..... I tried to boil condensed milk in the microwave, it worked, but ..... a lot of evaporation happened due to not closing the lid. I took more power, stirred it periodically - as a result - a very tight toffee. So I thought ... that the lid would not hurt ... Well, in your recipe there is also butter, it also plays a role and gives the toffee softness ...

I liked the recipe - we will try! Thank you!

No, if you close it, then just because of the lack of evaporation, the milk will not boil down, because the condensate will drain back. I just needed to reduce the power.

I also can't boil condensed milk in the microwave. Tried it 3 times. The first time the power was great + did not cover with a lid - it turned out to be a very tight toffee (like the "Golden Key", but not sticky). The second time - the power is small and again without a cover. It turned out the same, only longer and longer. And the last time the power was small and closed with a lid, but in general some kind of garbage came out: the milk all went in flakes, as if curdled, although I was buying Rogachev condensed milk as always. I don't know if I will experiment more ...
Interestingly, will it work on gas? I'd like to try such toffee.Your creamy tidbits always go off with a bang, I cook them very often.

Rogachevskaya (made in Belarus, Rogachev) condensed milk is also GOST. I like her the most. Never let me down before. And that time, either hacky condensed milk was caught, or all the same in the microwave it was

Which one did you pour it into? Or cooked? I cooked it in sitall (this is glass), formed it in silicone.

Poured hot immediately or when it cools down? A mold like ice.

A mold like ice.
So what? I, like other culinary experts, use many trays for ice in the manufacture of sweets. I pour, of course, not a boiling mass, but a slightly cooled one, but the silicone can withstand temperatures much higher.

Thank you! Very tasty. But my mass after cooking was thick, why don’t know, but in your photo it is not so thick.
tata-nata
Thanks for the wonderful recipe! Well, very tasty and fast! Only a little.
I cooked for 30 minutes at a power of 300. The mass thickened, but it turned out to be light, creamy. As before with the "creamy darlings".
dopleta
You are welcome, tata-nata ! Glad you liked!

Good evening! I really wanted to cook condensed milk according to your recipe, but I did not add butter, I just wanted to get boiled one, stopped for 3-4 minutes, it became somehow thick, is this normal? Continue to melt? Or add butter after all ??)))

dopleta
Olesya, I always cooked only with butter. Without it, of course, it will turn out thicker.
