I was looking for a topic dedicated to heat-resistant glass, alas, I did not find it. I decided to open a subtopic "Cookware made of heat-resistant glass" in the big topic "Dishes". Perhaps later the moderators will find a more appropriate place for heat-resistant glass.
Yesterday I bought myself an old dream - a large oval glass heat-resistant roaster with a high lid. Made in France, ARC Inernational Cookware SAS. Length 32 cm, width 20 cm, height 12.5 cm.I plan to bake in it not only poultry, but also fish on a vegetable pillow, large pieces of meat (Admin and Twist, I will have a full blast according to your meat recipes!). I even think to put the dough in it for proofing - a large volume of 3 liters of the goose maker itself + 1 liter of the lid volume.
I bought it quite by accident, on the way home I just went to the Pyaterochka store. There is a pile of unopened boxes in the trading floor. I came closer, and there were all kinds of glassware. There are no samples or price tags yet. But I immediately stuck to the seller so that she could not fight me off. I explained to her that my dream is to find a large oval shape with a lid, like a goose bowl. The seller went to look for names and prices. In the price tags, we found an oval casserole with a lid. And this is where she was in the mountain of boxes! I demanded to find, the seller Tatyana began to sort out the boxes with me. At this time, other buyers constantly approached her on various issues, but they were all fiercely sent by me to the garden "Can't you see that the seller is busy serving me ?!" And when we finally opened the box we needed in a large pile of boxes, and then opened it and took out my goose, my hands started shaking with joy! I grabbed two at once - myself and my daughter. And then passing customers, seeing a lady completely stunned with happiness, clutching two huge gosyatnits to her chest, sharply slowed down at the mountain of boxes and already predatory looking into my forms, fell into a stupor, then when leaving it asked "How much is it?" And this happiness cost 678 rubles. A half-liter can will fit into the mold. This is the happiness of a deviceaholic!

I have a dish for a pie and a glass tray with a plastic lid Simax, I am very pleased with them, I want a few more glass pots, they just made cottage cheese casseroles in the microwave abnormally, in usual forms I can't do that.
I just saw a glass baking dish in ATB a week ago - 27 cm, but I didn't know how it would behave in a gas oven and how many degrees it could withstand

rusja, will lead perfectly. I put my forms in both ovens, both gas and electric, and Pyrex, in general, a rocket!

250 holds up, how cute.
marcy
And in a gas, and in an electric oven, and in a microwave it behaves perfectly!

The lid is very convenient in such a pan. It can be used as a separate baking dish.

I agree, and also as an oval dish for serving salads, sausage and meat cuts and other things.
Lika_n
girls, it turns out that this form with a lid is French, it can withstand up to 300 gr .. and pyrech- up to 240 ... I have a gas oven .. so .. little what is there with that temperature can then be in the oven. who has electric .. it's easier there.
irysska
And I use a thermometer for the oven (I have gas) - so the temperature is under control
Lika_n
I have a thermometer on my door and I also bought it ..to check :)) but with gas .. something I still strain .. I constantly check .. my stove is old ..

but with gas .. something is still straining .. constantly checking .. my stove is old ..
and me too
but I adapted like this: I look at the thermometer for the oven (I put it next to the form, for example) - if the temperature starts to reach the one I need, then I reduce the heat, thereby I do not allow the temperature to rise above the desired one
I have already adapted so well, and therefore I no longer worry about the temperature

Lika_n, you can not strain my molds from two firms Simax and PYREX, I use both in gas (no thermometer) and in electric, everything is fine. I even baked bread in them
Lika_n
I also have these springs jumped off, which hold the door .. in short, the door is holding a magnet .. so huge .. .. so I check ..
and change the stove .. 10 cm is not enough .. I keep twisting these boxes .. soon to the girls, in the section .. collect lego-cabinets I'll go :))

maybe this is my habit ... when I still didn't understand I didn't cook, how does it bake there .. there is a stove .. no instructions .. how it works there;)) mom is far away .. and there were no mobile phones then.

I once got a kick in my ass .. my oven went out .. what I don’t know .. in short at this moment. husband came to the kitchen .. scream these .. words in Xfrench .. I heard .. maybe that's why I'm checking ...

I already wrote there before, set the meters for us, in short a couple of days ago-- the continuation of the Marlezon ballet, 11 pm, the emergency team rushing around the entrance .. leakage on the riser .. it's good that someone smelled and caused .. we have gas pipes, going through the whole apartment .. my headache .. and remodel ..
Vilapo and if those forms that up to 240 heat up to more .. they will not burst .. well, by accident ..

Lika_n, I exploit them so shamelessly and so far everything is in order. The only thing I follow is when I take it out of the oven, put a wooden stand and that's it

Likewise. The main thing is not to splash water, or put it on wet. I don't control the temperature.

I have been using heat-resistant glassware for a very long time. All sorts of round, oval, rectangular Pyrexes. And for some time now, all kinds of metal and plastic molds and trays for storing food have ceased to suit me. Threw them all away. Instead, I bought different sizes of heat-resistant glass trays with sealed lids from Luminark. It is very convenient to cook in them and put finished products and semi-finished products in them for storage in the refrigerator.
Erhan
I counted my glass forms - 15 pieces (7 with lids). I love to use them - even in the oven, even in the micron, and you can put them on the table. Oh, I forgot my favorite 1 liter heat-resistant glass mug with graduations. Total - 16.

It's the same for me, and at first I was also afraid to use glass forms in my own. The first times I put the mold only in a cold oven. But this is not an option for cupcakes: girl_cray1: Then she grew bolder. And I realized that my glass is indestructible. Now I have a taste, and there are a lot of things in the plans, but first of all it is round and rectangular with wavy edges. And my gosyatnitsa is still an old Soviet one, very old from the 70s (my mother bought it some time ago, but was afraid to use it), I like to bake shank with cabbage in it. Only it is 2.5 liters, plus a lid. In general, I feel an urgent need to buy such as from Creamy

I am reporting on the field trials of the new gosling. How big it is, almost the entire oven. I made the usual bookmark - chicken with vegetables, but in the goose maker it seemed like something small, it took only 1/3 of the height of the form.A turkey can easily fit into a rooster. Baked at 200 degrees. I found one inconvenience for myself - the handles of the form are very small in size. When I took the hot goose pan with a kitchen towel, I almost broke both the goose pan and the lid twice. Therefore, I will specially buy cotton gloves to reliably keep the hot heavy shape. Well, it was not me who washed it, but my dishwasher.

The main thing, as the manufacturer warns, is to put it in a cold oven, I have adapted in a different way. I heat up the oven, but I install the grill together with the form

I put in a hot oven and on a hot wire rack. It's okay. I have been using heat-resistant glass for many years.

Thank you! These forms have another plus - the price. Specifically, this form costs 45 UAH. , and in the store, where she bought it from me, a 10% discount. It cost me 40.5 UAH. I will buy 3 more pieces. I have long dreamed of baking cakes in glass.

By the way, the quality of the forms is more than good. I have 2 round forms from this manufacturer for three years already. I'm happy with them.
irysska
Diana, congratulations from the bottom of my heart on the new thing, class
I also have 2 forms for Borkam - one for a cake (rectangular, the capital bakes well in it), and the other round with a wavy rim - I am also very pleased with them.
Kind of like Borkam is produced in Turkey.

I found this idea on the local site. And the size of the glass form was looking for a specially large one, so that a loaf of bread from HP would fit.

I was also recently presented with a set of plates made of heat-resistant Pasabache glass, but I haven't tested it yet. It's a pity to shove this beauty into the microwave).

Good evening, Pyrex lovers. I have a question for you.
I would like a glass stand for the grilled chicken, on which it is cooked while standing, and the juice flows into a saucer.
Maybe someone used it? How is she doing?

mur_myau, to be honest, I have not seen these coasters in Pyrex. I know exactly what Simax has. I can say one thing, heat-resistant glass can be washed perfectly, if you wish, you can take it.

This I put it collectively.)) As all copiers say "xerox", and often instead of "heat-resistant glass" - "Pyrex", even if it is not Pyrex at all.

Desire to eat! I want a can (bottle) chicken Once I saw, walked, sighed around this stand, but I never bought it. Now I'm sorry.

Unfortunately, we do not have Epicenter here.
But a large building materials store has the largest selection of Pyrex. I'll go and take a look. Suddenly this form will be among the new products.
Thanks for the tip.

mur_myau then I wish you good luck, if you're lucky, a toy will appear in the house that can be used not only for frying meat
