Flounder in Greek

Ingredients

Flounder (small) 2 pcs.
Olive oil 2st. l.
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Garlic 2 tooth
Tomatoes 3 pcs.
Capers 1 st. l.
Thyme (greens) taste
Salt pepper taste
Lemon juice taste

Cooking method

  • Peel the fish, sprinkle with lemon juice, salt and pepper and leave in a cold place to marinate for 1-2 hours.
  • Cut onions, tomatoes into small cubes, pass the garlic through a press.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan, fry the onion and garlic until golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes, stew, stirring for 5-10 minutes.
  • Add thyme, capers and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Put the fish in a greased dish, distribute vegetables on top.
  • Cook in an oven preheated to 200C for about 30 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven.
  • Serve with herbs.
  • Delicious!!!!

I bought flounder in Auchan, at a ridiculous (compared to dorado) price of 169 rubles / kg. The problem with flounder, which is why I rarely cook it, is that if it is improperly frozen and thawed or stored for a long time in the freezer, it starts to smell like old oil already during cooking. Therefore, this one smelled right there, it was fresh or correctly defrosted and no longer smelled. So it turned out delicious, and what is especially valuable in sea fish - boneless !!!!
