Beetroot and Leek Pie

Ingredients

Dry yeast 1 tsp
Wheat flour 300 g
Lean oil 30 ml
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tbsp. l.
Dry greens taste
Water 180 - 200 ml
Filling
Beet 1 -2 pcs
Leek 1 stem
Chicken egg (raw) 1 PC
Coarse black pepper taste
Salt on demand
Grated cheese 100 g
Reyhan dried 1.5 tsp.
Ginger 1.5 tsp.

Cooking method

  • Knead the dough in a convenient way for you (I kneaded in HP on the "Pizza" mode), after kneading, give the dough "rest" for 30 minutes. While the dough is kneading, we make the filling: pre-steamed beets, clean, three on grater. Cut the leeks (moreover, I use both the white and green parts) into circles. In a bowl, combine beets, leeks, spices and egg.
  • Divide the "rested" dough into 2 unequal parts. The smaller one is postponed. From a large part, we form a cake with small sides in proportion to our shape. Put the filling on it, sprinkle with cheese. From a smaller part of the dough, make a smaller cake and cut a mesh from it with a special roller. If there is no roller, we just make a lattice from narrow dough strips (well, it's not for me to teach you how the lattice is made). Lubricate the pie with an egg and put it in a warm place for 30 minutes. We bake in the oven at 180C for 35-40 minutes (it all depends on your oven. My cuttlefish baked for 40 minutes).
