Colonial Orange Pie

Ingredients

almond flakes 250 g
coconut flakes 100 g
flour 50 g
butter 150 g
eggs 4 things
sugar 150 g
powdered sugar 50 g
baking powder 1 tsp
oranges (medium) 2 pcs
orange liqueur 1 tbsp
coconut milk 2-3 tbsp

Cooking method

  • 1. Boil oranges for 15-20 minutes, then drain the water. Pour in cold water and boil for another 15-20 minutes. Then cut into slices and puree. Cool the finished puree completely.

  • 2. Grind the almond flakes very finely and divide into two equal parts. Combine one part with powdered sugar, two proteins and beat until smooth and fluffy.

  • 3. Combine the second part of ground almond flakes with coconut flakes, flour and baking powder.
  • 4. Beat the softened butter with sugar. Without stopping whipping, add two yolks one at a time, then two eggs. Combine with almond-protein mass and beat together. Add dry ingredients and coconut milk in several steps. Then add orange puree, stir until smooth and add orange liqueur.

  • 5. Pour the finished dough into a mold (D26 cm) and place in an oven preheated to 170 C. Bake until skewered dry for about 60-75 minutes. Sprinkle the finished cake with icing sugar.
