Ingredients

vegetable oil 150 g
water 150 g
wheat flour 400 g
walnuts 150 g
sugar 150 g

Cooking method

  • Everything is quite simple and fast.
  • Bring the water and oil to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • At this time, we will deal with nuts. You can use whatever you like. Finely chop the nuts or grind with a blender. Add sugar. I also added a handful of raisins soaked in cognac and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to the filling.
  • Pour the butter into a bowl - I was still lukewarm. Pour flour, not all at once, in portions. Knead the dough. It was so nice to knead, warm. Roll out thinly and cut into small rectangles. Put the filling on one end of the rectangle and roll up the tube. Put in preheated to 220g. oven for 25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the finished tubes with powdered sugar.

Note

From this amount of products, I got 18 walnut rolls.
They turned out to be not sugary, crispy, aromatic and very tasty!

I divided the dough into 20 parts and rolled it out separately, the dough is very plastic, it rolled out so thin that the countertop could see through it, due to this, a lot of filling and little dough turned out in the tubes - as I like, though I overdid it a little in an effort to stuff more in them filling, I didn't have enough of it for 3 pieces, I made it with sweet cottage cheese (tasty, but the cottage cheese "got out" - the dough was very thinly rolled out).
Sugar was enough for my sweet tooth, they even told me not to sprinkle it with powder, but even more so for me ..
