"Fried" from apples

Category: Blanks
Fried apple

Ingredients

Apples
Pears
Berries

Cooking method

  • Have you ever tried fried berries and fruits? Believe me, it's delicious! Take apples, pears cut into slices (you can add strawberries and other berries), it would be nice to also put a few pitted prunes,
  • put everything in a cold frying pan, sprinkle with sugar (one third of the weight of the fruit), put on fire. As soon as the juice appears and boils, gently turn the fruit over and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. Then, carefully, so that the fruits retain their shape, transfer to prepared jars, roll up the lids. Stored for a long time, looks beautiful and very tasty!

Note

Unfortunately, there is no photo, since the jars with the blanks have already been lowered into the cellar.
P.S. The other day I was preparing a "roast" in a slow cooker, I liked it, it is very convenient!

Krosh, what do you think, can you make in the microwave?

I don't have a microwave, so I'm not familiar with its capabilities, but something tells me what is possible.
Uncle Sam
This summer the hotel chefs pampered us with "Turkish fried".
A mixture of all available fruits.
At the very end of frying, (not) a lot of cognac was added to a huge frying pan (above the gas burner).
The flame was about 2 meters high.
But the result ... At best, it wasn't there in 10 minutes. Delicious!!!

(current can only repeat this number in the open air. even the professionals had a fire extinguisher near the stove)

Crochet, thanks for the tip on Zharenka

Only I got the version of Varenka in a saucepan with a thick bottom.

Sugar 20-30% by weight of fruits and berries. Quick boil for 10 minutes in its own juice.

Option 1 - apricots, plums.
Option 2 - apricots, peaches, nectarines, apples, plums, cherries, strawberries.

Yummy extraordinary

The author is a huge thank you for the recipe !!! I have already made 8 liter jars, add a couple more jars, and my children will quickly sweep away this miracle, despite the fact that we do not use jam
With your permission, I will attach the pictures, I added blueberries for the color, several strawberries and cranberries, all frozen
it is "in progress"

Crochet!!! Thank you so much for the Fry, very tasty. Now I read it, and immediately went to the kitchen and quickly, quickly did everything. 300 grams of apples, 100 grams of sugar and a little raspberry for color and smell. The yummy is extraordinary. Immediately hot tea and ate.
But my question is how many apples can you take for fried in a slow cooker without losing quality, that is, to make a fried, not boiled
Basja
Deva, unfortunately, for both yours and mine, Krosh will not answer yet and will not expose new recipes, but she has something in stock, she is resting

I am very glad that you liked it! Your jars are just super!

To your health! For fried in a slow cooker, I used 1 kg of apples, of which I haven't tried yet ...
rinishek
Krosh, since you weren't here, I had fried in the pan - it tasted good. Thanks for the wonderful and unexpected recipe.
I would like to clarify (due to the presence of a sufficient number of apples) - in a slow cooker 1 kg, and in what mode - baking? and how long? or all by sight? and if "baked", then the lid is closed or open?
Keti
I was also told about this recipe and still did not write down the details.
Thank you. Need to try.

Fry over low heat or medium?
I look in the jars there is juice, it appears in the cooking process (it seems that it should have been fried) or pour it with syrup later

And in a multicooker for baking or frying?
And what other fruits have you tried besides apples? For example, cherries or apricots, peaches, or better in a pan?
That's how many many questions I have

Crochet, what a delicious recipe! I would never have thought that simple apples would make deliciousness with a minimum of effort.

I don’t understand in any way it turns out that we DO NOT extinguish but fry ??? but it does not stick ???
Scarecrow
Crochet,

Innuska, is it stored for seaming? I put everything under the screw caps. In other words, put the red-hot from the pan and screw it on. Will it survive? Or not? Isn't it really boiled inside, won't it ferment?

is it stored for seaming?

Tus, I have all sweet canned food, in which sugar is less than 500 gr. for 1 kg. fruit, I roll it up under a tin can ...

But I store it in the closet, read at room temperature ...

I don’t want to carry it to the cellar ...

I can seal under screw caps according to my mood, but I never reuse such caps, I buy new ones every year) ...

And then, are you going to store it in a cold basement?

In the cold, I think nothing bad will happen to that "fried") ...

I'd take a chance, it's a noble cause)) ...
Scarecrow
Crochet,

And I finally can't roll up (fainted from shame!)))

I don’t close tomatoes / cucumbers and I don’t know how. And everything else goes under the screw caps. I also use them as disposable. Need to try...

Damn !!! I forgot to put strawberries on Rumtopf. Here broody ... It's in my association, do not pay attention))).

Die-not-get up, what an awesome recipe !!! Tomorrow I'll buy a four-thread and make it !!!! Thank you!

kolobok123, fruits-berries give juice, so it does not stick, my process was similar to cooking, but in a pan, since there was a lot of juice
Scarecrow, I screwed the lids, I will store in the basement.

Die and not get up
How many years I have been doing procurements, but for the first time I heard about this "fry"
Kroshikh, I accidentally pissed off here, followed the link and read it.
I was just sitting and wondering what else to do with the pear. I don't make jam this year. The juice and jam from the micra have already rolled, frozen in the freezer, but it still does not end ... and the infection is already rotting. And there are apples too, I went to buy peaches and maybe strawberries and try what your fried is.
Inuska, what is it like? Thick or not so thick?

Today I tried to do it.
I also got jam in a pan, and a liquid one.
So it should be or have I done something wrong?
Apples are sliced, not fallen apart, plums - alas, and raspberries.
I took 400 grams of sugar per kilo 200.
It turned out a jacket in a jacket 3 cans of 380 grams each.
She licked the spoon - sour.
I don’t know whether to clean it up in the basement or give it to my husband until it deteriorates?
Tumanchik
Girls and we put it on last year. They ate all winter. I rolled up the banks. Everything stood up well. And for the filling and just like a jam. They put apples with red currants. Thank you, Innulya!
Tumanchik
Yes, I cooked in a cartoon and in a pan. We were looking for recipes to quickly. I didn't bother at all. The only conclusion. The coated pan has slightly discolored. I think the acid has affected. It's cool to do in a cartoon, but you can't do much. I then fried a cartoon and two pans. Instantly reworked everything. Eh, this year maybe something will happen on the occasion ... apples are expensive on the market !!!
Elya_lug
Podmosvichka, depends on the feedstock. I made apples, plums, apricots, it was so thick. And apples + mulberries are liquid. Well, I sprinkle sugar on the eye, try it, if it's not enough, then I add it.
Podmosvichka
Clear .
Only one question - is it fried or is it still boiled?
And what is the point of doing in a frying pan, in a saucepan, for example, will it not work out the same?
nila
Kroshik, all hands do not reach to report. On that day, as I wrote, I immediately got ready and rushed to the evening market, where on Monday summer residents and private traders usually trade.
As I wrote, my pears and apples were in abundance. I bought 600 grams of strawberries, 1 kg of prunes and was about to leave the market and saw that overripe fig peaches were giving away for nothing (10 grams each). Well, how could you not take it?
I arrived, washed the jars and put them in the AG for sterilization, quickly peeled the fruit, cut it, and it turned out to be 5 kilograms. I took out a large Bergof stewpan and overcooked it in 1.5 kg pieces of software, in several passes. While one part is fried, I roll up the previous one and prepare the next part.
It tasted like delicious, but I also had it like liquid jam. I don't know what this grain should actually be. But I liked the process itself, it is very convenient and quick to dispose of fruits. I think that if it does not go like jam in winter, I use it as a delicious filling in pies.

absolutely the same. even in a saucepan is better - not every coating of the pan will withstand an acid attack. the main thing is not a thick layer, otherwise it is no longer frying, but cooking will turn out

Inna! Thank you so much for the recipe! Very tasty and original. Recently, I somehow got disappointed in the classic jam: you fiddle with it, and then it stands, and no one eats it. Therefore, I was careful with Fry and rolled it into small jars. But in vain, as it turned out! Very tasty with yoghurt and cottage cheese. A small jar leaves just instantly. Relatives said that next time they should close no less than liter cans. Firstly, the contents are alive, not digested, and secondly, a wide variety of tastes. I also added pieces of apricot, pieces of peaches somewhere, different berries. It is very decorating, there is no monotony. In short, delicious and not boring. I recommend to everyone.
Oroma
Crochet, Inna! As a serial maniac, I am rolling up the third version of fried this year. Relatives and friends, having tasted this miracle, asked to repeat (and more). A very good recipe. Extraordinary. Seasonal berries were added to the first and second fries. This time, only apples, peaches and plums. I usually try to recycle what has grown in the garden. But this year there are no apples or pears. Therefore, I changed the rule and buy what is missing on the market, only my own plums. But no one is eating jam anymore. Thanks again for the recipe
Primavera
How delicious it is! Thank you very much for such a quick and delicious recipe!
I have apples, plums, peaches and a handful of sea buckthorn. I will definitely roll it up for the winter before the fresh apples run out!
Oroma
I won't get tired of thanking you for the recipe! Now I cook Frying every summer. Everyone likes. Especially when I add peaches or apricots. I really like that this is not MONO jam, it turns out a very cute assortment. And every time it is different, because it depends on the set of fruits / berries. Then add currants, then strawberries, then raspberries. Now I'm going to make the last batch of this season. I bought apples, peaches and plums. So I'm thinking: can you add grapes? Frozen currants. The eating season has not actually started yet, and the niece has already devoured almost her share, presented the jar to the neighbors, and they also liked it ... so I’ll go pile again. Little sugar, cooks quickly, the fruit is alive! Thank you!

Olya, can you make a roast fry from unripe apples? Yesterday's wind knocked a lot of pears. Maybe they should not be put into compost, but put into a roast while there are a lot of berries?
Oroma
Andreevna, I did not try to make from immature, although we also have a lot of them knocked down by the wind. I buy a little at the market of different fruits when we have them at a discount. Today I bought peaches, nectarine, apricots, plums and four apples. Together, three kg. So I'll make my first roast. I added a handful of my own strawberries. So I get fried not from apples, but from a little bit of everything
lana light
I want to try to cook, but I still didn't understand what kind of heat to cook on. Judging by the name ("fried") should the fire be strong?
Oroma
lana light, Sveta! After boiling, reduce the heat and cook for 15 minutes, like any jam. If you leave a large fire, it will spit, burn, splash. And it gurgles, and you stir sometimes. I think Fry, because in a pan and without water. A wonderful thing! This year I tried to make three or four new versions of jam. So far I've tried some leftovers that didn't fit in the jar. What can I say? Fried is better. Delicious and not confusing

Thank you!)
Marika33
An interesting recipe! Need to try.
Olya, I don't want to buy anything, but can you add berries from the freezer or will they ferment?
Oroma
marika33, can. I think I added in the past years. It is good when there are at least three ingredients in the roast. And one of them is berries. This year I did: apples, black currants, raspberries. Apples, plums, and I don't remember what else .... well, with peaches / apricots. Everything is delicious. Little sugar. And fast
