Whole Wheat Bran Yogurt Bread

Ingredients


For 1 small loaf:
White bread flour200 g
(1 3/4 cups)
Wholemeal flour150 g
(1 1/2 cups)
Water150 ml (2/3 cup)
Natural yoghurt125 ml
(1/2 cup)
Salt1 tsp
Syrup1 tbsp. l.
Rast. oil1 tbsp. l.
Wheat bran25 g
(1/3 cup)
Dry yeast3/4 tsp

Cooking method


  • Description: baking
  • For 1 medium loaf:
  • 185 ml (3/4 cup) water
  • 175 ml (3/4 cup) natural yogurt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 260 grams (2 1/3 cups) white bread flour
  • 200 grams (1 3/4 cups) wholemeal flour
  • 40g (1/2 cup) wheat bran
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • For 1 large loaf:
  • 230 ml (1 cup) water
  • 210 ml (1 cup) natural yogurt
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 375 grams (3 1/4 cups) white bread flour
  • 250 grams (2 1/4 cups) wholemeal flour
  • 50g (2/3 cup) wheat bran
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp dry yeast
  • 1. Pour water, yogurt, butter and molasses into a mold. If your bread maker's instructions tell you to put yeast into the bread maker first, simply reverse the order in which you add dry and liquid ingredients to the bread maker.
  • 2. Pour in both types of flour so that the water is completely covered. Add bran and salt. Make a small indentation in the middle of the flour, missing water, and add yeast.
  • 3. Put the bread maker in the Basic mode, medium crust. Press the "Start" button.
  • 4. Take the finished bread out of the bread machine and transfer to the wire rack to cool. Serve while the bread is still warm.
  • On a note:
  • The molasses in this recipe adds flavor and color to the bread. You can use both molasses and molasses.



Note



Soft bread on yoghurt, enriched with bran. It is high in fiber and makes great toast.
