Ingredients

Fish (silver carp, carp)
Tomato paste 2 tbsp. l.
Bulb onions 2 large heads
Carrot 2 pcs. big
Sunflower oil 0.5 cups
Salt, spices

Cooking method

  • I take silver carp or carp for this recipe, or both of them (carp turns out fatter).
  • Gut the fish, wash. Cut into pieces of about 4-5 cm, do not finely. Yesterday I had a big fish, 1.5 kg each, so I cut out the ridge, I had not done this before.
  • Prepare vegetables. Cut the onion or quarter into rings or large cubes, carrots - on a coarse grater.
  • Lay in layers in a thick-walled deep saucepan (duck) in layers, starting with onions and carrots, alternately with fish. Salt a layer of fish and sprinkle with your favorite spices.
  • Preparing the fill. Add tomato paste to 1 liter of boiled water, salt, pepper, throw in black peppercorns, half a glass of vegetable oil.
  • Fill the fish, the water should be 5 cm higher than the fish level. If lower, add water. We put on fire and bring to a boil.
  • Close with a lid and put in the oven for 5 hours at a temperature of 120-140 C.
  • The readiness of the fish is determined by the soft bones, they can also be eaten!

The fish prepared in this way is very similar to canned fish in tomato. The pieces are whole.
