Sugar 175 gram
Salt pinch
Flour 220 grams
Vanillin
Soda ¼ teaspoon

Cooking method

  • Mix the liquid ingredients well to make a homogeneous mass. Add flour and soda. Stir well. Bake in a waffle iron for thick waffles. I have a waffle iron "flower of hearts" (next time I will bake - take a photo).
  • Delicious crumbly waffles. The oil leaks a little when baking, but it is fine.

The main thing is to knead all the ingredients before adding flour and soda until smooth, so that the butter seems to be driven into the eggs, a homogeneous mass is obtained.

You can prepare half of the portion for the sample. But it will turn out to be 2-2 and a half waffle flower.

I, like the author of the recipe, also prefer to make it with vegetable oil, but I take refined soybean oil, it does not give the smell and aftertaste of vegetable oil. Of course, these are my taste characteristics. Maybe someone will confirm or deny.

Oil is oil, so that it does not leak will not help. But if you reduce the amount of oil, then the waffles turn out to be tougher or something, there is no that crumbly shortbread dough. But that's for my taste.
