Milk oat porridge in a multicooker Oursson

Ingredients

Long-boiled hercules 1.5 measuring cups
Natural milk 5 measuring cups for 1 cup of cereal / 3 cups of milk
Butter 30 grams
White sugar 2 tbsp. l. taste
Salt taste
Measuring cup 250 ml.

Cooking method

  • Put all the products in the multicooker pan, stir.
  • Close the lid of the multicooker, set the porridge mode, pressure 1, turn on the START button.
  • The default time is 40 minutes, which includes pressure build, cook, pressure release.
  • Porridge is ready
  • Milk oat porridge in a multicooker Oursson
  • Pour into plates and serve
  • Milk oat porridge in a multicooker Oursson
  • My observations and comments:
  • 1) Again, I did not keep track of time from the very beginning, because I was not familiar with the description of the modes))
  • The multicooker was silent while it was gaining pressure, but at 16 minutes a temperature of 111 * C appeared, then it began to fluctuate from 109 to 111 * C.
  • 2) Initially, I did not set the pressure, it was at level 0. But at 16 minutes, the valve began to be active, snort with pure condensate (not much), hiss, I was scared that the milk would run away and put pressure 1 on the spot, the valve immediately closed, stopped ... But not for long, he continued to hiss with pure water condensation, milk was not visible! Then he gradually calmed down and became quiet. At 6 minutes, the temperature began to drop, and the valve became completely silent. After the end of cooking, the multicooker goes into heating mode at a temperature of 73 * C by default, which can be canceled or changed.
  • 3) Analyzing the time, temperature, pressure and operation of the multicooker on this program, I came to the conclusion:
  • - the default cooking time of 40 minutes includes the entire cycle from pressure build-up, heating, cooking, pressure release.
  • - Gains pressure and cooks the multicooker quietly, the valve works quietly.
  • - the valve starts hissing and swearing when the pressure is released, in the last 16 minutes of cooking, which caused the release of pure condensate. Therefore, there was no point in setting the pressure to 1, the pressure was released anyway, and the porridge would be perfectly cooked at a pressure of 1 (minimum).
  • 4) This is confirmed by the state of the pan during cooking, it can be seen that at a pressure of 0 and a pressure of 1, the milk did not rise above the maximum level allowed during cooking.
  • Milk oat porridge in a multicooker Oursson
  • 5) The condition of the lid after preparation is clean !!!! ))))))))
  • Milk oat porridge in a multicooker Oursson
  • 6) The cooking time can be changed in one direction or the other when the program is started. Next time I'll try to put hercules for 30 minutes, instead of 40 by default, I'll see what happens))

Note

Summary: milk porridge can be safely trusted in a multicooker, even at a pressure of 0, or 1 (minimum), and the porridge will be ready as it should!

As recently as yesterday, I washed the entire slow cooker from porridge.

program - porridge
1 tbsp oatmeal (200 ml)
3 mt water and milk 50/50 (600 ml)

Turned on at 0 pressure and walked away. After 15 minutes, I returned to find that almost all the porridge had crawled out through the valve. the lid of the cartoon in the porridge, the condensate chute in the porridge, and even porridge has flowed inside between the pan and the walls to the heating element.

So I'm not sure if milk porridge can be cooked at 0 pressure.

So I'm not sure if milk porridge can be cooked at 0 pressure.

Learn, my friend, learn to cook milk porridge in a pressure cooker Especially from just 600 ml. milk!
Then change the milk, do not buy powdered milk, which behaves badly in any multicooker.

What I never had was that something would come out of the pan and flood the heating element. I even cooked jam, which tries to get out of the pan, but in Orsonchik it sat and was silent at 0 pressure

And if you cooked milk porridge as you describe "I turned it on at 0 pressure and went away. After 15 minutes, I returned to find that almost all the porridge had crawled out through the valve. The lid of the cartoon in the porridge, the condensate chute in the porridge, and even the porridge was numb between the pan and the walls to the heating element." , it means that you did not cook milk porridge in Orsonchik, because your description does not fit reality
Tanyulya
I get the feeling that CyberOnix You are not cooking in this saucepan. On my program, Porridge never ran out of milk, although I always cook for 1 liter.
If it does not bother you, you could show the photo of "your failure".
What I like about this model is that the lid is always clean, and there is condensation, but there have never been any traces of the cooking dish on the lid.

That is, despite the fact that I washed it yesterday and successfully laundered it, you suggest that I repeat the same procedure? Just a photo of the presence of this multicooker will not suit you?
Olekma
I cooked rice milk porridge in Orsson, the proportion was 1: 3 milk, I put pressure 1 on the Porridge mode for 40 minutes, and my porridge climbed through the drain valve, I don't remember how long it took ...
Another time I also cooked rice, the mode was porridge, the time was 30 minutes, the pressure was set to 0, the same trouble the milk came through the drain valve. I had to increase the pressure every time the milk began to sizzle near the valve, and so I boiled it to the end. I wonder what it was?
Admin
Katya, I had a situation where the porridge hissed through the valve, very little drops protruded, but transparent, at a pressure of 1, but I did not turn off the pressure cooker, waited until the end of cooking. She stood nearby in horror and waited for the terrible and the consequences of washing everything!

But when the cooking was over, I opened the lid - it was CLEAN !!!!! I realized that condensation and vapors were seething while cooking porridge.

From the instructions, porridge can be cooked at 0 (no pressure, evaporation of liquid), but if you need to preserve liquid and reduce condensate release, they suggest cooking porridge at pressure 1 (low pressure). So I began to do so, I cook porridge for 1.
But, I want to say that such a situation with a "snotty nose" of a transparent color happens in other modes and at different pressures.Later I got used to this, and if everything corresponds to the norm of the liquid in the pan, the set modes and pressure, then I do not pay attention to the "snotty hiss" - then when I open the pressure cooker, the lid is usually clean, and this is an indicator of normal operation of the pressure cooker. And the most interesting thing is that the volume of the liquid does not rise above the maximum level, and this is also an indicator of the normal operation of the device!

You shouldn't be swearing at a person like that. Once my porridge escaped at zero pressure, too. I forgot to switch. Ugly horror. I washed it ... By the way, coarse flakes are better at the second pressure and 30 minutes is enough.

No one swears, everyone expresses what is, only we argue with the photo. I have never escaped anything t-t-t. Therefore, I am glad, I always cook porridge at night. I cook porridge only in Oursson and in the cuckoo 1010.
Admin

If the rules of operation of the pressure cooker, modes were followed, then most likely the reason may be in the milk itself. I only cook from natural milk or milk with a short shelf life.
If you cook in powdered milk, porridge can escape, such cases have been described, porridge with powdered milk, and not only in Orson. Reconstituted milk is written on the packaging, including normalized milk. You should also check the freshness of the milk.

Check these indicators, milk quality!

Porridge may not work in other multi-cooker pressure cookers, if the milk is of poor quality, such cases have already taken place and have been described on the forum in other sections.

Tanya, if there were "transparent snot", and there it ran like milk. I, too, waited in horror for the end of cooking. But the lid remained clean! But the removable center had to be washed with a toothbrush.

Tan, well, pressure 3 is used for hard meat And porridge, especially oatmeal, even pour boiling water over it - it will be ready quickly

I put 2 or 3 for the night and truncated ... do not cook it More often of course I cook rice and millet. Honestly, I don't even bother. I've never cooked corn, but I love it. Hercules cooks more often in my microwave oven. I pour milk overnight, and in the morning I just warm it up in the microwave to "gurgles".
I used to do buckwheat like this, boiling water at night, and in the morning about 3 minutes in the microwave, now, of course, in a multicooker

Yes, all methods are good ... if the porridge turns out and everything is fine

While I cook the way I cook everything suits

well tell me what is it called? And most importantly why? Set the night to cook oatmeal porridge in water! on timer, Porridge mode, 30 minutes, pressure1
I sit on the Internet in the morning, I hear something happening in my kitchen ... I went to look and see:

my porridge climbs over the top, bubbles, drips off the lid, there are 7 minutes left until the end of the program.
here is the result:

I then washed the multicooker for another 30 minutes

: hi: Olekma! I am joining Sazalextr. I have my first slow cooker, and I cook milk porridge all the time. If you set the temperature to 90g, then the porridge will never boil away. And the time is different. The link is in the topics above. I am in no hurry with cereals, I cook them, putting them overnight, then heating them for several hours until morning and as a result, very tasty porridge (I'm afraid we'll get fat). With your talents, milk porridge will not be a brake. And oatmeal - according to the Admin recipe.
Zhanik
I have never cooked from long-cooking flakes. But in Kukushka I cook Nordic all the time. I set the multi-turn at 92 degrees and 5 minutes. There were no problems even once. To be honest, I'm just afraid to choose a program with higher degrees, given the boiling point and frothing of milk

Today I cooked herculean milk porridge in a pressure cooker, and took a photo of the process and the products from which I cooked.

Put in a saucepan:
- 1.5 multi glasses of Herculean long-boiled flakes
- salt to taste
- sugar to taste
- butter 20-30 grams, with which the porridge tastes better

Milk oat porridge in a multicooker Oursson

I fill natural milk or with a short shelf life (like mine today) at the rate of 1 glass of cereal x 3 glasses of milk (or milk with water). If the porridge is needed thinner or thicker, then I change the proportion of the liquid a little.

Milk oat porridge in a multicooker Oursson

I mix and get such a suspension

Milk oat porridge in a multicooker Oursson

Putting the pot on the base of the pressure cooker I set the PURPOSE mode, the time is 30 minutes, the pressure is 1 (minimum) and I press START... In my opinion, the most optimal pressure and time.

Milk oat porridge in a multicooker Oursson

During the entire cooking time, the lid and valve remained clean. There was not even a loud hiss!
After the signal, I waited some more time to release the remaining pressure. In total, it took about 35-40 minutes.
The result is such a mess

Milk oat porridge in a multicooker Oursson

As you can see in the photo, during cooking, the porridge did not rise above the milk level, and even above the maximum level of the pan! The sides of the pan are completely clean!
The valve cover is also completely clean! The cover valve is also clean, not spattered with porridge or milk, as can be seen in the photo above. The photo was taken while cooking porridge.

I pour the porridge into plates. The porridge turned out to be of the desired density, which we love

Summary:
- long-boiled hercules

Never I do not use powdered, reconstituted milk in porridge, and in food in general.
I use milk or a mixture of milk and water in any proportions for porridge.

Enjoy your meal!

Arka, Of course! It will be the most delicious on baked milk!

I really like stewed cereals, which is why I prefer optimal cooking modes, rather than short ones. Oh, delicious!

Yesterday I became the owner of a new ouson. According to this recipe, I put porridge for the night - with a delayed start for the morning. It turned out that the porridge was burnt. Rather, it was baked with a crust to the bottom of the saucepan. What is the reason?
Galin
During the night, the flakes swelled from milk and seemed to stick to the bottom of the bowl, and therefore burned, especially if they were instant flakes. It is better not to cook the flakes at night, try to buy whole oat grains, you will eat healthy porridge in the morning,

I cooked oatmeal for the child in water and just a little bit, barely covered the bottom, though I added more water to make it thinner. I cooked according to your recipe, pressure 1, but after 10 minutes the porridge began to run away, or rather not the porridge itself, but this snotty water is opaque, but not condensation either. I did it at 0, I stood like that with a rag for about 5 minutes catching the escaping one and turned it off, then I tried to put it on for extinguishing, the same option. The display shows a temperature of about 110 in both cases. She turned it off again, rummaged through the Internet and set your choice of 100 degrees and 30 minutes and a pressure of 0. So I cooked it up with a cloth, since it was smaller, but it still flowed out. So I think there was no milk, butter, sugar, the amount was just minimal, but everything ran away, what should I do? There is simply no way to cook porridge for a child in a saucepan every morning while standing at the stove for half an hour, and in this cartoon everything turns out to be painfully delicious! And the porridge without everything is also delicious!

Tanya, I cooked porridge at 1050. Nothing escaped, rose a little, like in your photo.
The only thing I overlooked, (maybe you are still with the new assistant), the pressure was 2 by default, I did not reduce it. And when cooking for 40 minutes, it boiled completely almost in mashed potatoes)))
But on a water bath - I liked it sooo much. The consistency is my favorite!

Yes, this pressure is too much for porridge. Optimum one - checked by porridge

Tanya, of course a lot))) how the meat was cooked
