Tomato and onion seasoning

Ingredients

tomatoes (medium) 3 Kg
onion 1 kg
granulated sugar 1.5 cups
salt 6 tsp
vinegar essence 3 tbsp. l.
ground black pepper 3 tsp

Cooking method

  • My tomatoes, cut into 4 slices (if large by 6-8), chop the onion finely, put everything in a saucepan (I'm in a 5 liter one), add granulated sugar, salt, vinegar essence, ground pepper and put on fire. Cook for 20-30 minutes, put it in sterilized jars (I use 0.5 l.), Roll up and wrap it up.

Note

The seasoning turns out to be watery. You can use it as an addition to 2 dishes, as an appetizer, for bread, as a dressing for soup.
I have been using it for 6 years, I like it very much!
