I am writing for the first time - I am worried, so forgive for possible mistakes.
The recipe for Italian bread with tomatoes and cheese from Lola was taken as a basis, but with changes, since there were no dried tomatoes (and it was not expected to get them at the dacha in the village at night)))))), but I liked the recipe very much - I like tomatoes and cheese.
Therefore, as they say, the need for invention is cunning. I thought about how to replace such an exotic ingredient. And the glance fell on the ketchup of the BALTIMOR company called Admiral. His consistency is not uniform, but pieces of tomatoes, spices, peppers, etc. Therefore, I thought that might be suitable for the recipe.
No sooner said than done. I put everything in HP (I have Selmer). She added cheese on signal. In the process of kneading, I added a little flour, because it seemed that the bun was sticking a little to the sides of the bucket. And she began to wait for the result .... And the result was not long in coming, but made me very upset ... The dough after the second batch did not rise at all! Lied at the bottom of the bucket with no signs of life. Upset, I finally went to bed (it was at night). But then she could not stand it and, having heard the signal of the end of baking, went to look at a flat fried lump of ginger dough.
But to my great surprise and sooooo delicious cheese smell, the sight of a magnificently risen bread with a high roof and a beautiful crust shade was added !!!
Of course, when cut, the ketchup pieces were not preserved ... But the consistency of the dough is so soft and delicate, and the color is so pleasant (and unusual) that you don't notice this drawback, but eat and just enjoy ...
But the most important thing is that you can bake wonderful original and unusually tasty bread from simple and affordable products !!!
