Tex-mex chile

Ingredients

ground beef 500 g
beans (preferably white, soaked overnight) 2 glasses
tomato 3 pieces
bulb 1 piece
garlic 2 cloves
broth (water) 1 glass
bay leaf, cinnamon, thyme, chili by a pinch
Mexican oregano, paprika 0.5 tsp.

Cooking method

  • This dish fits both the category of meat dishes and the category of legumes, but still it is more meaty, so I placed it in the first section.
  • Heat the oil in a large thick-bottomed saucepan (I usually do this in a cauldron). Finely chop the onion and tomatoes. Add the onion and minced meat to a saucepan, fry them over high heat until brown, breaking the minced meat into small pieces. While the meat is roasting, prepare the sauce. Put the garlic and tomatoes in a blender and chop. Add the sauce to the minced meat. Add a couple of lavrushkas, 0.5 tsp each. oregano and paprika, a pinch of thyme, cinnamon and chili. Pour in hot broth, mix everything well, bring to a boil and add prepared beans (drain the water). Stir again and bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat to low and cook for about two hours, simmering until beans are tender. You can initially cook the beans until half cooked and cook the chili for one hour (by reducing the stock). If you are using canned beans, cook the meat with tomatoes for about an hour, then add the beans and cook for another 5-10 minutes so that the beans are saturated with aromas.

Girls, this is so tasty and at the same time simple, I recommend it to everyone, and especially whose husbands come in the evening angry and hungry after a hard day's work, after having tasted this wonderful chili, mine asked for a supplement, got kinder and went for a walk with my son.
