Roman focaccia

Ingredients

Wheat flour 500g.
Fresh yeast 15g.
Warm water 280g.
Olive oil 20g.
Salt 1.5 st. l.
Sugar 1 st. l.
Fresh rosemary 1 branch
Filling:
Rosemary 1 branch
Red onion 2 pcs. (200g.)
White onion 2 pcs. (200g.)
Garlic 2 tooth.
Olive oil 2st. l.

Cooking method

  • Grind yeast with sugar, pour into a bucket of HP. There is also water, oil. Top with flour, salt, chopped rosemary leaves. Dough mode. The gingerbread man is soft, elastic. After kneading, leave the dough in the HP for 10 -15 minutes, then turn off the HP. Moisten your hands with oil, get the dough out of the CP, form a ball, put in a greased container, cover with foil and leave in a warm place for 60 minutes. I put the dough in MV Brand mode.
  • At this time, in a large frying pan, fry the onion, chopped into thin rings and chopped garlic, for 5-10 minutes until soft.
  • Then knead the dough, roll out 6mm thick into a rectangle. I rolled it out on a silicone mat right on the baking sheet. Cover with a towel and leave for 30-40 minutes.
  • Place the filling on the dough and sprinkle with chopped rosemary.
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 200C for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cut the bread into 16 squares and serve immediately.
  • Roman focaccia
  • Real Roman bread with onions. You can serve it with soup, for a snack, just like that !!! Delicious!!!

Yes, salt put 1.25 measured tbsp. l. (aspired to 1.5). I think it can be reduced to 1?

It's a matter of taste. In the original recipe, there are generally 2 tbsp. l.
