Stewed pumpkin with carrots in a Panasonic multicooker

Ingredients

Pumpkin 1 small
Medium carrots 4 things.
Bulbs 3 pcs.
Tomato paste 3 tbsp. l.
Extra virgin olive oil

Cooking method

  • Saute the carrots cut into strips in a frying pan (preferably in olive oil), put them in a cartoon.
  • Next, in the same pan, saute the onions until golden brown and also put them in a slow cooker.
  • Then we peel and seeds a small pumpkin, cut into cubes and send there.
  • Now add spices (I like dried herbs - dill, parsley, basil), black pepper, salt and three tablespoons of tomato paste. Mix everything. Since pumpkin is usually quite dry, you need to add a little water and cook on a simmer for 1.5 hours.
  • Let it brew in heating mode for at least half an hour.

Dancea little advice, if you will. In order not to stain the pan, onions and carrots can be immediately sprinkled in the baking program on the baking program for 20 minutes, and then switched to stewing, maybe even an hour will be enough.

Oh thank you! I am a beginner with this device, and I only associate with it with a saucepan. It never occurred to use it as a frying pan!
And on the subject of stewing time - I just love when the edges of the pumpkin are already softened, in addition, I remove the top crust very thin, and the flesh under it is firm. I don't really like the "aldente" state. But, of course, this is just for my taste!

Yes, not at all. On the baking program, you can fry chicken, potatoes, etc. The chicken is fried, but juicy and the potatoes are very tasty. If anything, ask. With the advent of multi, I was completely lazy, it seems that I only brew coffee on the stove, and the rest is all in the cartoon. Good luck!

And I cut the carrots and pumpkin, added 1 tbsp. l. olive oil and added a little salt. I put it on baking for 30 minutes (after 20 minutes I prevented it) and that's it! My children were shaking with pleasure, and for the first time in my life I also ate "boiled" carrots with pleasure!
Such a pumpkin in the oven has never worked!

Such a small whole pumpkin (inside rice, water, dried fruit and pieces of pumpkin from the top) can be made in a slow cooker. 4 hours braised plus 40 minutes baked.
1 measure of rice and 2 measures of boiling water, salt and sugar to taste. Before baking, you can stick a few pieces of butter under the lid. I also smeared the pumpkin with oil half an hour before finishing - for beauty and baking the crust.
