Bread Red curl (bread maker)

Ingredients

Dry yeast 2 tsp
Wheat flour 3 cups
Sugar 2 tbsp. l
Salt 1 tsp
Rast. oil 50 g
Milk 1 cup
Tomato paste 2 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • Cup 250 ml
  • Load all ingredients (except tomato paste) into the bread maker (according to the loading rules of your bread maker) and put in the "dough" mode.
  • When the dough is ready, take out and divide it in two. Knead one part of the dough well with two tablespoons of tomato paste. And then we roll it out. Put the finished roll in a bread maker, grease with an egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Time for preparing:

1 hour 5 minutes

Note

If you get used to it, you can make such a bread

Lola
By the way, bread according to this recipe can be made without using tomato paste - you get delicious white bread.
Or you can put 1 - 2 tablespoons of tomato paste along with all the ingredients and then you get a ginger - sunny bread

Put the finished roll in a bread maker, grease with an egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. We bake for 1 hour 5 minutes

I didn't understand - how can you bake already kneaded dough in a bread machine?
I have Hitachi.

Many bread makers have a “bake” mode or it’s called “muffin”. Look again the instructions, maybe you have such a mode? In it: the kneading knife is removed from the bucket, the finished dough is laid out and the baking time is set. The finished masterpiece is eaten.
Larissa
Lola, thanks for the idea !!! I baked a curl today! Super! Very original!
Mixed the Moulinex stove according to program 6

Water 250ml
Salt 1 tsp l
R. oil 1 tbsp. l
Flour 460g
Yeast 2 tsp

In half with 2 tbsp. l. tomato. I added a little flour to the pasta so that the dough was not thin. She took out the stirrer from the oven, and baked goods according to program 5 (1h 17min) - quick baked bread.

Kneading in a bread maker? that is, put half of the dough in there, added pasta and kneaded again? Or is it manually?
Larissa
I kneaded the half with tomato paste on the table, adding a little bit of flour. Then she rolled out a strip of white dough and a strip of orange, put it on top of each other. She rolled a roll. I put it in a bucket right on the shryrek. The dough came up perfectly.

Forgive the dilettante. And when and where does the "curl" "rise"? Before rolling, after rolling (in the oven or not?) Or even during baking?

Painfully beautiful, and it seems not difficult
Lola
Larissa I'm very glad that you liked it!

Korata here it is more convenient for you, if you like it, you can do it with your hands, but no, and the stove will knead it.

SAPetrovich when you have rolled up the curl, and, having pulled out the knife, put it in the bucket of the bread maker, leave it for a while, to "rise", and then bake. That's all.

Excuse me, can I get more details from this moment? After the dough is divided into two halves and tomato paste is added to one, on which program is the additional kneading? Back in the dough program? And the first half, where there is no tomato, what's wrong with it at this time? Will the dough last?
Excuse me, maybe I misunderstood something?

And here is the curl that I got today.

After kneading the dough, I took it out of the oven and divided it into two halves. I tried to manually mix one with tomato paste - I didn't like it (it is very sticky and does not mix well). And I thumped all this part into the oven and put it in the dough mode. Added 1 tbsp. tablespoons of flour to thicken the dough (it was watery). I waited 10 - 15 minutes and turned it off (the first batch was just over). The dough is well mixed. Then she rolled everything out, as recommended Lola and put it back in the bucket. The dough was suitable for about 30 minutes. Then I smeared the surface with milk and sprinkled with sesame seeds. The mode was set to "baking".
Here is the result (photo). True, it doesn't look like a curl, but I don't give up, and I will continue to experiment, once I get the hang of it!
And the bread itself is very tasty.

When the dough is divided into two parts, set one aside, and knead the other with a tomato either manually or in the "pizza" mode.

Today it’s turn to Larissa's "curl". The only thing that I got the dough is too thick, I had to add milk. And instead of tomato paste, I added dry tomato (sold in our market from Uzbeks who sell spices by weight).
And I also have a question: Larisa, how many rolls are you rolling? I rolled two and laid them on the bottom parallel to each other. That's what I did:

Very TASTY AND ORIGINAL. My guests are afraid to even eat it, they say - it's a MASTERPIECE.

!!! Super!!! Well done !!! Bread Red curl (bread maker)
A little tip: so that the curls do not look in one direction, put them so that one flows from the other (a kind of Greek pattern)
Bread Red curl (bread maker)

And in order to surprise the guests, you can experiment with this bread, for example, make pea bread by placing randomly sausages from multi-colored dough. Or create a flower by rolling (again, sausages) in a certain way ...

The bread in the recipe picture contains 4 rolls.
Celestine
Another stupid question I did not understand about the number of rolls. (I just read it, while the dough has already been rolled out, but the arcs have not been stacked on top of the other) It turns out that it can still be divided into as many parts as you like? And roll a few rolls? ... And they stick together when baking, otherwise the bread will disintegrate
Lola
Celestine, there can be as many rolls as you can make from a given amount of dough. All rolls stick well together and the bread does not fall apart.
Celestine
Thanks for the answer. : (I'm upset. I just took out some bread ... and it only rose to the middle of the bucket. And before its division it was up to the end of the mold and then came up (in the form of rolls) for about forty minutes in the bucket ... what is it? ... But I’m not giving up, I’ll still try to wind a bunch of rolls
Larissa
Bulochka, when I was making the first curl, I made a long strip of white dough and the same one with tomato, and I got a large spiral in the cut. Although I guessed from Lola's photos that you can make a lot of rolls and twist in different directions, so that there are many, many curls. Yet this is a super design of bread!
Celestine
ALL! ALL! ALL! What a taste, let it not rise, but the taste, my husband said (I don't know why) that it looks like a cake (he really ate it with jam That's it, now I only bake such bread with a bunch of rolls ... well, maybe not only, but I want a result like Lola

Ella
Can you please tell me, is it possible to bake such a "work of art" in the LG 151JE bread maker? Thank you in advance.

If your oven has a baking mode, then of course you can bake without problems)
And if not, then you can try to do this: cook the dough in the "dough" mode and while you are engaged in rolling and folding the curl, you can put the oven in the bread making mode (preferably fast). when baking time comes, you just insert the curl bucket into the bread maker. And it will be baked safely. The main thing is to calculate the time correctly. And you can insert the bucket after the second kneading and the dough will stand and do not miss the baking. Good luck. I hope my advice will help you
Celestine
Thanks: wow: this is an idea, let's try, write what happens (me and my girlfriend). Yesterday I did another "Curl" in the middle it turns out a depression (from the rolls) How to put the rolls so that the top is even, I don't understand something yet

Put a pigtail of dough in the groove between the rolls and it is practical and aesthetically pleasing
marsha
Variations on a curl theme.
In a third of the dough, I added spinach puree.

It turns out that rolling rolls and putting them in a mold is a whole art. Well, nothing, this is just the beginning.
fugaska
there is a suggestion - to make four rolls with different additives! I will try on Sunday, I will share the result (but pictures, unfortunately, will not be ...)
fugaska
I experimented - the result is excellent! thanks for the recipe. however, tomato paste was not at hand, I used homemade dressing. it is inconvenient to manually add the additive. the ideal option is two stoves!
next time I will try to braid pigtails for a more cool shape
fugaska
I loved the curl idea so much that I made a poppy!
I post the recipe HERE.

Lola
Larisa thank you so much for the curl recipe. Yesterday I did it for the first time. The bread is just super! I had to add a little more milk to the dough for a good lump. I made the dough with tomato paste on the pizza program, it mixed great, thanks for the tip. I added flour to the tomato dough (by eye). Made 4 rolls. The result is a very beautiful curl. It's a pity I can't confirm with pictures.
The family did not understand how it could have happened in the bread maker. The cooking process itself took place without them, but she took out the bread in their presence. She did not reveal the secret, let it be a mystery, at least for a while.
Nurka
What a beautiful and original bread!
I want to try baking. But I have a stove quite recently and there are no electronic scales yet, so an amateurish question arose: the recipe says 50g. vegetable oil - and how much is it in milliliters or in spoons? ... I really don't want to ruin such beauty with the wrong dosage
Andreevna
I put 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil. Divided the dough into 4 light parts and 4 with tomato paste. Then she rolled 4 rolls (see as at Lola). I put 2 rolls on the bottom of the saucepan and 2. It turned out very nicely.
Rezlina
Today I also tried to bake such beauty :) Thank you, Lola, for the recipe. Everyone thought that there was such a program in the bread maker ... even a shame ..
But my bread turned out to be low and inside there are thin multi-colored stripes (I'll post the photo later), but it's still beautiful :) maybe I rolled it too thin?
And another question. My pets love bread with butter more, can I add it here instead of vegetable? if possible, how many grams?
Dance
Lola, thank you very much for the recipe - it turned out very nicely. I will try to attach a photo.

Already worried. And until the end is still almost an hour ((

I pulled it out ... I'm waiting for it to cool down a little. BUT IT'S LITTLE !!!!! Slightly above the middle !!!! Is this how it should be or did I do it wrong?
Here, I post the result)

MaDaMa, you made a curl from 2 rolls, try to make from 4 next time, it will be even more interesting. Did you like the taste?
MaDaMa
Andreevna
Oh, don't poison your soul, I'm such a fool !!!! I made FOUR rolls, but put them not along, but PEREK (I sucks with spatial thinking, I was always at odds with drawing). The result - to make it beautiful, you need to cut from the FRONT WALL !!!! What a fool! Well, okay, first pancake ... Next time I'll be smarter, I'll take into account mistakes))
I liked the taste, but Mona sugar is slightly less, sweetish. If for coffee and tea - ideal. The husband noted how to conduct another experiment)))
QUESTION: why is everyone so bright, but mine is not so bright? Maybe you need more tomato?
Nurka
So I finally decided to try it. I attach the result. Not ideal - there is still something to strive for, but I was afraid that I would not get it at all
Question: I have 2 hours 20 minutes "dough" mode. (in the main mode), and there are also modes "pizza" (45 min. with raising the dough) and "dumplings" (20 minutes without raising). In what mode is it better to do the first batch, with equalizing the temperatures and raising, or can you just knead the dough?

Andreevna
MaDaMa, most importantly I liked the bread, and the beauty of the execution is a matter of time.
Nurka , I bet on 2h20min. I think the pizza program will not work - there is not enough time to get up, and dumplings will not work even more. Rather, they will do, but you have to pull it out, do everything manually (lifting and kneading). I don't see the point.
MaDaMa
In general, so! I KILLED IT !! It turned out beautiful, lush, with curls, bright))
If anyone is interested, I describe the preparation. I have a Panasonic 207, the "Dough" function is missing, so I cheated. I pushed everything into HP, the "Dough with raisins" mode, pulled out HALF of the dough by "pipi", and added a tomato to the rest (a tiny jar of "Bonduelle", just a little more than two spoons). Clever KP kneaded the dough with an additive (she didn't know that tama was not raisins, but a tomato). Then I pulled out the dough, well, and then according to the recipe ...... I rolled it up, laid it out, on top - a pigtail)) Then I handed over the reins of the HP, the regime had already been set !! About 50 minutes before the end, greased with milk and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
Result: WHAT LOLA HAS !!!
Very nice))

And here is a small experimenter to combine "the most beautiful with the most delicious" (for my taste) bread. Curl + chocolate Sorry cut it warm and the pattern smeared

Thank you very much for the recipe !!! All the household members really liked the curl :) Now this is one of the favorite breads in our family

Of course, we are far from ideal, but we are trying.
Andreevna
Lana, next time try to make a curl of 4 rolls (4 stripes light + 4 dark). Then it will be even more beautiful. Drawing like Nurka will have.
Nurka, thanks for the chocolate idea, I must try.

: red: So that's what I did. First, I divided all the dough into two parts, and then each of them into 4 parts. Maybe you rolled the dough too thin?
Vanisinka
Yes, yes, the bread is what you need, it turns out delicious, but I still can't put the rolls beautifully, but I have something to strive for.
I tried to freeze two slices, after thawing the bread was fragrant and just as tasty as freshly baked
I liked the idea with chocolate very much! We will try!

And I was impressed. True, she crushed the top two rolls. But under all circumstances, half was cut down while still warm.
