Ingredients

Wheat flour 500 g
Water 150 g
Milk 150 g
Dry yeast 1.5 tsp.
Butter, melted 1 tbsp. l.
Egg 1 PC.
Salt 1 tsp
Sesame, poppy seeds, coarse salt for sprinkling
1 liter of water + 1 tbsp. l. salt + 2 tbsp. l. soda for cooking

Cooking method

  • I found the recipe for these wonderful French buns (moricette or mauricette) on the imungu blog. I liked the description and photos so much that I immediately implemented them.
  • Kneaded the dough in a bread maker. From the finished, increased in volume, dough was formed into buns. She boiled water with salt and soda and dipped the buns one by one into it for one minute. The buns should be completely covered with water, do not let them float. Now we put them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper, grease with an egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds, make cuts and place in heated to 220about oven for 15-20 minutes.

It was scary to omit the most! At first they lose their shape a little in water - well, like dumplings. When you take it out, it is already straightened on the baking sheet. Well, they increase, but not much.
