Paella with shrimps

Ingredients

rice 250 g
vegetable broth 500 ml
green peas (beans) 200 g
red bell pepper 2 pods
young carrot 1 bundle
green onions 1/2 bundle
garlic 2 cloves
large shrimp 12 pcs
turmeric 1/2
salt pepper taste

Cooking method

  • This pilaf in Spanish is taken from the "Lisa" magazine # 13 2011.
  • Pour vegetable broth over rice, season with turmeric and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add carrots, add water if necessary and cook for another 10 minutes, covered with a lid. Add green peas (in my case beans), chopped bell peppers, green onions (I didn't add) and cook for another 5 minutes. Make sure that the rice is not overcooked.
  • Fry the shrimps in olive oil until golden brown.
  • Season the finished rice with garlic, passed through a press, salt and pepper. Place the shrimps on top.

Note

I saw a similar recipe at ShuMakher, but this one is still slightly different.
