Ingredients

beef 1 kg
potatoes 4 medium pieces
carrot 1 large or 2 medium
bell pepper 2 pcs
celery stalk 1 PC
onion (red) 1 large or 2 medium

salt pepper taste
parsley, dill, cilantro taste
mixture of italian herbs taste
salt, pepper, onion for marinade
olive oil 3 tbsp. l.
garlic 6 teeth

Cooking method

  • Cut the beef (preferably NOT lean) into long cubes like beef stroganoff. Marinate in a mixture of salt, pepper and onion, cut into half rings. Leave in a cool place for 1.5 - 2 hours (the longer it is marinated, the more tender the meat will be). Dice the potatoes, carrots, celery, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes.   • At the bottom of each pot (I have only 3 earthenware with a volume of 600 grams), pour one st. l. olive oil and lay onion, meat in layers (after completely removing the onion from the marinade from it), garlic (in each pot 2 cloves squeezed through a press), potatoes, celery, carrots, bell peppers (I had a red one), tomato. A layer of potatoes and the very top with a little salt and pepper. Sprinkle with a mixture of Italian herbs on top (optional). Cover with a lid and bake in the oven at 200 gr. about 1 hour (until the meat is ready).
  • Sprinkle the finished dish with chopped herbs before serving.

Note

The dish can be equated to the first, meat and vegetables emit an indescribably tasty juice, which in the finished product almost reaches half the pot.
