Ingredients

Yeast dough according to your favorite recipe as needed
egg for lubrication 1 PC
fireproof form 1 PC
wire as needed
baking parchment as needed
rast. oil for greasing a baking sheet

Cooking method

  • Roll out the finished dough into a layer 0.5 cm thick.Cut the layer into strips of 1.5-2 cm.It is desirable that the length of 5-7 strips from the cut ones correspond to the circumference of the mold
  • Yeast dough basket
  • Cover the form with parchment.
  • Yeast dough basket
  • Cut the dough into strips equal to the height of the mold + 3-4 cm. The number of strips depends on the size of the mold. Spread the strips in shape with a distance of at least 2 cm. The number of strips must be even.
  • Yeast dough basket
  • Take a long strip of dough and apply along the bottom of the vertical strips, press down. Connect the ends of the strip well.
  • Yeast dough basket
  • Now bend the vertical stripes through one.
  • Yeast dough basket
  • Take another long strip of dough and also attach it to the vertical strips, press down. Connect the ends of the long strip well. It is better to do this in the place where the vertical strip is bent. return vertical stripes to their original position.
  • Yeast dough basket
  • Then again bend the vertical stripes, only those that did not bend the last time, that is, in a checkerboard pattern. Repeat the rest until you reach the bottom of the form. When you get to the bottom of the mold, take a few strips and make a snowflake from the dough at the bottom of the mold. Transfer the dish to a greased baking sheet. Use a rolling pin to lightly roll along the bottom of the mold.
  • Yeast dough basket
  • Roll out another small piece of dough 0.2-0.3 cm thick. Cut out dough circles with a glass and glue with an egg on the bottom of the mold. Grease the whole basket with an egg and bake for 20-25 minutes at 220 degrees.
  • Yeast dough basket
  • Remove the finished basket from the oven, let stand for 10 minutes, carefully cut around the edge of the mold with a knife and remove our basket from the mold.
  • Yeast dough basket
  • For the handle, you need to take a wire of the desired length, wrap it with an overlapping strip of dough, put it in an arc on a baking sheet, grease with an egg and bake. It is advisable to let the finished products stand for a day. Fill the basket with pastries, fruits, sweets (if you wish). Install the handle (it is desirable that the wire pierces the basket to the bottom).

Note

Usually such baskets are baked for Easter, but I baked such a basket for Christmas as a gift to my goddaughter, believe me, it's better than an ordinary factory bag. Accordingly, it is installed on a substrate with a napkin, wrapped in a gift wrap with a bow and is presented as such. I must say, it is not eaten right away, but it still stands for some time under the tree for beauty.

Hairpin
Masterpiece!!!

Moreover, it seems that this is possible ...
mamontenok
Hairpin Thanks for your feedback. It's actually not difficult. I tried various methods of making it, but for myself I find this one the easiest. Those who want to make it for Easter have time to practice.
Melanyushka
That's so beautiful! In the finished product, the basket reminds me of choux pastry cakes for "Tropikanka".
Twist
mamontenok! It is great!!! Very very beautiful!

mamontenok, I am in a stupor from such beauty and from the fact that it is so easy. Thank you.
Summer resident
Awesome !!! : girl_claping: I will move away from the holidays and train. You look at Easter, I'll master
mamontenok
Summer residentThanks for your feedback. You will definitely master and make even better baskets !!! I did it not for the first time and I must say I tried various types of its manufacture, and in my opinion this method is the easiest and fastest.
Olima
I look at this WONDERFUL WORK and MK and start to believe that I can probably build this.
mamontenok, I went to give you a plus sign for such a masterpiece
mamontenok
Olima thanks for the tip, you will definitely succeed, as they say "the devil is not so terrible as he is painted." We all once sculpted from plasticine and it's something like that. It is much more difficult to sculpt from mastic.
Kamusik
Light, finally there are no words! What a fine fellow you are! Special thanks for sharing with us !!!

Tanyusha, thank you very much for your feedback! I will be glad if the idea is useful to someone. The basis is there, and then the flight of imagination.

And I baked a basket without a handle, but with a lid (the lid is baked on a mold of a larger diameter). It turns out such a basket. Unfortunately there is no photo, but it also turns out very beautifully.
mamontenok
: OksanulyaThanks for the idea, for some reason I immediately imagined a bear from a cartoon, carrying pies to my grandmother from Masha. I don’t know how this object is called correctly, only it was big, square and had a bear on its shoulders. In general, our women of forum have more than enough imagination, if only there were 48 hours in a day ...

Exactly! Like a bear, only smaller and round. And on top of the lid I slap flower leaves cut out of dough, like on a loaf. More beauty turns out. It's a pity that it never crossed my mind to photograph my products.

Good day! very, very beautiful little basket !! Forgive the newbie, but I still didn't understand how to attach the handle later.

Svetlana, amazing little basket !!!!!!!!!!!!! The main thing is that you can really repeat it (I hope it works). After your MK it becomes clear how to portray all this! Because when you look at the finished product, you get the impression that this masterpiece is available only to the elite! Great light to you. + I will bookmark it, I will rehearse, before EASTER!

mamontenok, Blimey! Cool basket! It must be remembered and done. Thank you
alina-ukhova
The basket is stunned!
Bookmarked! I will go plus for such a masterpiece I will deliver!
Olima
Mammoth, can you specify?
Did I understand correctly that when the basket is woven, the dough should not be allowed to come up, but immediately baked?
mamontenok
Olimayes, indeed the basket needs to be baked right away. While you are weaving it (and this is not so fast at first), the dough will do a little and this is quite enough, because it rolls out thinly, and the likelihood that something will be blown up somewhere during baking disappears.
laxy
here I am with my basket. though I probably overdried it - while the handle was inserted - it cracked. And the basket itself was rather dry

And I did not quite understand this moment. How is the handle attached? On toothpicks?
natapit
I want to say thank you very much for the wonderful shopping cart! I baked for my grandchildren for Easter, since I was at home, so I take this opportunity to attach a photo report! Mine were delighted!

Caprice handle dough is wound on a wire and baked in this way, then the ends of the wire are inserted into the basket itself.

Thank you. The mold was woven onto a regular cake dish 26 cm in diameter. Nothing else occurred to me. Everything is either small or huge
I fixed the Caprice with toothpicks. pre-inserted them into the handles before baking. But I have small hands. And in other cases, it is probably more appropriate to do like mamontenok

What a useful thing these are "random recipes"!
I would never have thought of looking for such a basket in my life! And all because I did not even suspect that this exists and, most importantly, I need it !!!

Unfortunately, the author has not been on the forum for a long time, so questions to those who baked this basket or something like that.
The recipe says: "Yeast dough according to your favorite recipe."
And which dough is better here - plain bread or butter?
And approximately how much dough does it take to braid, for example, a 3-4-liter saucepan? Is 400 g of flour enough?

Happy holidays everyone!
Elya_lug
Madison, there is another basket next to it, but with the recipe and the author. Good luck.
