Ingredients

cod fillet 1 kg
garlic 5-6 teeth
fresh chili 1 pod
lemon juice 1 lemon
bulb onions 1 PC.
bell peppers for garnish 2 pcs.
salt pepper taste
olive oil for frying

Cooking method

  • This dish (like many others) is often prepared by my husband, a great eater of fish of all kinds. Roughly speaking, this is not cooked by all the rules Bakalao. In Spain, Portugal, and others, it is prepared from pre-salted and then soaked cod. Let's get by with frozen. Cut the fillet into portioned pieces, salt, pepper, fill with lemon juice and leave to marinate for 1-2 hours. At this stage, the husband also deviates from the recipe and adds onions to the marinade, which should not be in the original. Fry coarsely chopped garlic and hot pepper rings in oil, then remove them, but save. Now quickly, over high heat, fry the fish fillets taken out of the marinade. Sprinkle the cooked fish with fried garlic and pepper. Serve stewed sweet peppers with marinade onions as a side dish.
