Belgian waffles

Ingredients

Flour 750 g
Brown sugar 300 g
Oil 250 g
Large egg 6 pcs
Fresh yeast 30 g
Salt 2 pinches
Sugar 1 tbsp. l
Milk or light beer Little

Cooking method

  • It turns out 15 waffles: plump and tender (melting) waffles.
  • Dilute yeast in warm milk or beer, add a spoonful of sugar, stir and leave for 10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, combine flour and salt. In another bowl, beat the yolks with sugar, beat the whites separately. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  • Add yeast to flour - mix, add yolks - mix, add oil - mix. Add proteins and mix gently. Make small balls of dough and let stand for 30 minutes. Bake in a waffle iron
  • Serve warm or cold, with or without garnish. Better hot, no garnish.
  • Tips: do not knead the dough - it should not be too elastic. If the dough seems too dry before adding proteins, then add a little milk or melted butter.
  • You can add cinnamon, vanilla, honey, parfait to waffles. water of orange flowers, rum essence or rum, ginger, cloves, nutmeg - each waffle iron has its own proportions of spices, so try it better and worse.
