Jelly with agar

Category: Blanks

Ingredients

agar 5 g
orange 2 pcs
banana 1 PC
lemon 1 PC
Strawberry 100 g
sugar 100 g
water 1 l

Cooking method

  • 1. Soak 5 g of agar in a little water.

  • 2. Pour water into a saucepan, add agar agar and cook over medium heat until it dissolves. As soon as a homogeneous liquid mass forms in the pan, reduce the heat and cook it for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

  • 3. Strain the resulting liquid and add sugar to it.

  • 4. Squeeze the juice from the lemon and orange and pour it into the liquid obtained by digesting the agar agar.

  • 5. Cut the banana into thin slices and the well-washed strawberries into small slices. Divide the banana and berry slices into 4 cups.

  • 6. Pour the still gelatin into the same cups and stir gently to avoid crushing the strawberries and banana pieces.

  • 7. Place the cups in the refrigerator to solidify the gelatin.

I love agar jelly.
It was true at first the problem was where to get it, but then I found a shop, now we have jelly almost every day.

And the taste of agar strains me, it smells like a pharmacy and dampness to me, yes, in fact, it is not surprising, this is a powder from algae

I'm sorry, but agar from a pharmacy or "from Cradle"? Shop marmalade also smells like a pharmacy?

Poor quality probably got caught. Agar should not smell or taste at all when well cleaned.

Agar is good because it has no odor, unlike gelatin. Found that to compare a thickener made from seaweed and from animal bones. At least by origin I am for agar. And the marshmallow is real on it and marmalade and bird's milk ....... I make excellent layers in the cake with agar with sour cream and fruit and with cottage cheese. You must have had bad agar.

Girls, help me learn to work with agar, pliz. I can do it on the water, but it doesn't work with juice. For example, I want to make a vein from 1 liter of orange juice. What proportions to take, what sequence. And, most importantly, is it possible not to boil the juice itself, so that vitamins are not threatened?
