Note

Delicious, slightly oily chips, with a taste of spices, a little salted!

We liked the chips in taste and appearance, they are perfect for stewing meat!

The only drawback is that after drying, all pallets went to be washed from oil!

Cook with pleasure and bon appetit!Tomato chips with spices

my pallets are washed every time. since the tomatoes will flow, then some other catastrophe will happen. so it's nothing and not a disadvantage.

Admin, daughter is a fan of tomato. We liked it very much.

I put them in a sterilized jar and closed it with a metal lid. I really hope they don’t get moldy over time.

I will do more. Bribed the tomatoes today.

The daughter took the can. I will ask. And if you put it in the refrigerator?
olpe
in the refrigerator, too, somewhere in half a month for sure.

Fill them completely with oil, maybe they will at least stand in the oil longer.

but this does not apply to well dried. they stand great
Cook

I made a jar with butter. The eldest took it. Only it won't last long. And the youngest liked tomatoes without oil more.

When the chips were pushed into the jar, they crunched. It is even interesting whether they are finished or not.
Admin

Girls, do not slander

Already, thin chips, well dried, are always well stored, I had a can on the balcony for a couple of years without oil.

If there is no moisture, everything will be OK!

Chips with spices and butter are great!

AdminYour words are a balm on my soul.

Do you think you can wait? The bag will end quickly!

I've set my sights on making a couple more bags, it's very tasty to cook with them, especially on tomatoes that are in oil with spices

Admin, if it's not difficult, can you tell me where you add tomatoes? Suddenly, I won't cook something, and the tomatoes will run out.
Admin

Here I added to the rice https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=142745.0 together with the dried mixture

Recently I made lamb, stewed with vegetables and instead of raw tomatoes I added sun-dried in oil - the sauce turned out to be SUPER tasty! The color is tomato, dark, the taste of a real tomato sauce with spices - in general, you need to try.

I want to make beef brisket on cartilage like that!
I add a little tomatoes, for example, 8-10 chips for 500-600 grams of meat
Cook

Admin, thanks a lot, I will try.

Tomato chips with spices

Admin

At home, I came across a bag of sun-dried tomatoes I recently brought from Tallinn, the weight of the bag is 100 grams, the cost is about 2-3 euros. At that time, it seemed to me that this is an affordable price and I will not bother drying tomatoes this year, these chips are enough for me, and I brought only 3 bags.

Tomato chips with spices

Here, in the photo on the left, purchased tomatoes, Italian! It tastes just sour, flat slices of tomatoes

On the right are tomato chips I cooked in an electric dryer! My chips with spices and vegetable oil! Yummyyyy!

I liked my chips so much for the taste that I cooked chips with as much as 15 kg. fresh tomatoes - in the end, it turned out about 1.5 kg. dried tomato chips!

If we compare the cost of imported and homemade chips, then mine turned out to be much cheaper! A profitable option!

In the photo, the right chips look much more appetizing.

Can you please tell me what and where do you store tomato chips? If stored in a pantry in a glass jar, will it be ok? Not covered with mold? And how long can they last?

If the chips are well dried, they are not afraid of anything, including mold! The same applies to any dried blanks.
I store my chips in a dark place in the kitchen, in a large plastic jar with a hole in the right side for ventilation. Nothing has become of them since the date of drying, the color has not changed, they are also crunchy and tasty. I think I will keep them until we eat them, I cooked a lot in the fall
Before that, I kept chips in a birch bark box.

I saw this topic and my eyes lit up! I took out my silicone tray for mikra, a couple of minutes, and I'm already enjoying it! Thank you Admin!

Thank you! For some reason I thought that it was necessary to tightly close the jar or bag. So that there is a minimum of air and moisture.
I made the first batch of chips yesterday and left a few on the table in the kitchen, so they became soft and sticky after lying down. So I thought maybe the moisture was sucked in from the air ...

We have a topic "How to store", where we share our experience of what and how to store - look carefully.
You can store it in a vacuum, anyone how.

That's right, chips can become soft on the table, it is humid in the kitchen, steam from pots, depending on where and with what they lay next to, the humidity is higher at night, and so on

Helen, congratulations! Let the tomatoes delight in winter, soups and cabbage soup are delicious

Tatiana, tell me, please, you are writing about the high mode - 60 degrees. Is this the maximum temperature of your dryer or your recommended temperature for a tomato? It's just that my dryer has a maximum of 75 degrees. Thanks for the recipe, I'm going to cook now.
Admin

In my 60 * maximum temperature, and from my own experience it is quite sufficient to quickly remove the strong moisture of the product.
I always start drying at a high T *, for a few hours, until the food has wrinkled and the visible moisture disappears from the vegetables. Then you can reduce T * and dry further. But optimal for a tomato is 50-55 * С.

Try the same for your dryer, start high and then lower.
SweetSveta
Tatyana, once again a huge THANK YOU for the recipe. I put the second batch to dry. Please tell me you call these tomatoes chips. And my tomatoes turn out to be a little elastic, in the sense of flexibility. Not quite like strawberry chips, strawberry has no flexibility at all, it breaks with a crunch. Is this correct or did I not finish dry? Although it dried a little more than yours in time ...
