Sayadie (fish pilaf) in a slow cooker

Ingredients

fillet of white fish (I have catfish) 700 gr.
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
1 large red tomato or 2 medium
olive. oil
2-3 cm ginger root (powder can be used)
flour for breading fish
salt
spice
basmati rice 3 multi-glasses
lemon juice
pepper
shrimp (optional) 1 kg

Cooking method

  • Marinate defrosted fillets in lemon juice + salt + pepper + fish spices for 20 minutes.
  • Into the olive. fry the finely chopped onions in oil (Baking mode), then after 2-3 minutes add finely chopped garlic (you can use a press), after another minute ginger and cumin grated on a fine grater. Put cumin on a given amount of food with about 2 tsp of powder or seeds.
  • Three tomatoes on a fine grater ... discard the skin, and put the mashed potatoes with the onion and ginger. (I didn't have tomatoes, but I had a bag of frozen broccoli, I stewed it a little separately)
  • Simmer for 3-4 minutes together.
  • After shaking off the excess liquid, roll the fish fillets in flour and fry in very hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
  • Rinse the rice well. Mix half of the rice with frying, then put the fish, shrimp, then the remaining rice.
  • Pour boiling water 1 cm above the surface. Crumble a cube of chicken stock, a pinch of saffron.
  • Pilaf mode.

Very, very interested in your recipe! Very unexpected, but I think it's delicious. I'll cook, post pictures.

Thanks for the recipe. Delicious. though I did a little differently, but the principle is the same. And the idea is good.
Gasha
Fifanya, to your health! I am very glad that our tastes coincided

And what to do with shrimp? Pre-fry too? Or do you need to boil first? In what form should they be put in the CF?
Gasha
I buy small pink (already processed) shrimps - you don't need to do anything with them, just peel them. But in the case of raw shrimps - you also don't need to do anything in advance, because shrimp meat is cooked quickly, and the "Pilaf" mode is enough for them.

Thanks for the answer, I am not very friendly with seafood and fish, but I really want to cook. In the picture, the shrimps are so golden, so I thought they were fried.

Those that lay at the bottom of the multicooker, of course, turn out to be ruddy

Gasha,
Ganechka, what an interesting recipe !!! How did I miss it? I'll try to do it on the weekend - at the moment, the usual one is preparing. I will do it in a pressure cooker)) It's a pity, the legendary crust of the Panasonic Plov mode will not work))
