Bun with poppy seeds (Khashkhashli cherek)

Ingredients

Dough:
Wheat flour 450 g
Fresh yeast 15 g
Warm milk 125 g
Natural yoghurt 250 g
Sugar 3 tbsp. l.
Salt 1/2 tsp
Filling:
Poppy 50 g
Melted butter 100 g
For lubrication:
Egg 1 PC.

Cooking method

  • Pour boiling water over the poppy seeds, cover and let cool. Drain the water.
  • Grind yeast with 1 tbsp. l. Sahara. Poured into the HP bucket. Warm milk and yoghurt are there. Top with flour, salt, remaining sugar.
  • "Dough" mode 1.5 hours. In the process of mixing, I added 1 st. l. to the kolobok.
  • After some time, put the dough on a floured table, divide into 16 pieces. We divide in half, each half in half, etc.
  • Roll out each of the pieces 0.5 cm thick and spread on top with poppy seeds mixed with butter. (sorry for the architectural mess on the table)

  • Roll each "pancake" into a roll, stretching the edges to form a thin long "sausage":

  • Then twist the roll around you several times and tie a knot, hide one end under the bottom:

  • Place on a baking sheet lined with paper:

  • Cover with a towel and place on the stove for 20 minutes. Turn on the oven for heating up to 200C.
  • Brush with beaten egg before baking.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes.
