Wheat-rye bread Olive (bread maker)
Category: Yeast bread
Ingredients
1 cup water
Olive oil 2.5 tbsp. l.
Wheat flour 2 cups
Rye flour 1 cup
Brown sugar 2.5 tbsp. l.
Salt 1 1/4 tsp
Powdered milk 2.5 tbsp. l.
Pine nuts and pumpkin seeds 1 tbsp each l.
Cooking method

Of the 10 main bread recipes on this site, olive has stuck the most. By the time my grandchildren arrive, I'm baking olives, it's easy for myself.
Today I decided to be closer to the requirements of the diet and changed the composition of the flour - 2 cups of white and 1 cup of rye, I took brown sugar. The rest is prescription. I added lightly roasted seeds and nuts between the two mixes.

Cooking time: 3 h. 20 min.
Cooking program: basic
Note
A beautiful loaf was baked and the smell in the house is awesome.

If I were in the place of administrators and moderators, I would generally forbid posting such recipes !!! In the sense of recipes, in which units of measurement are taken "cups", "glasses", "mugs", "glasses", etc. !!!
Reading this recipe, did anyone guess exactly how much flour should be? What cups are we talking about?!?!?!?!?!?!? For example, I drink tea from 280 ml. cups are also available at home and 320 ml cups. !!! But my friend alone drinks tea from a huge 720 ml. cups .... And don't forget about 70-80 ml. coffee cups ... !!! Do you also know that different flours have different weights with equal volumes ???
With such experiments, in which incomprehensible units of measurement of the constituent components are used, it will not take long to ditch the bread maker !!! It is worth overdoing it with flour and bushings on which interfering blades are attached, khana !!! And then the electric motor can burn out from overload ...
I suggest the moderator to permanently remove this under-recipe and all others like this. Or give the author some time for rehabilitation to bring the recipe into a human state.

Dear Alex, in response to your angry remark about measuring the volume in cups, I want to remind you that many bread makers come with recipes in cups (in addition to the fact that cups are also included). So take your measuring cup and measure out the ingredients. The main thing in the recipe is the correct ratio.
Dear Babalena, thanks for the interesting recipe, I'll try to bake it soon.

Why ditch X / n Do you know how many grams of flour you have calculated?
You have unfair remarks. I read and hurt! And everything is correctly written about the cups !!!

Those who made comments - are you joking right ??? What century has your bread machine been produced? When I bought my own, I searched the entire Internet and did not meet more than one HP, which would include "measuring cups" !!! All have long been measuring ingredients in milliliters and grams, in extreme cases - in teaspoons and tablespoons (salt, sugar, yeast, etc.). There are for these purposes "measuring" home electronic scales and measuring transparent glasses (with a scale in milliliters) !!! Do not forget that different CPs are designed for different weights of baking loaves !!! For example, my bread maker bakes 1 kg and 1.5 kg loaves !!! Can you imagine what would happen to HP, intended for baking a maximum of 900 g, if you put ingredients in it according to my 1.5 kilogram recipe? Also, measuring cups from different HP manufacturers have different volumes !!! T. to.manufacturers adjust measuring devices for certain models of their HP exactly for certain recipes of their HP !!!
And in conclusion I will tell you a secret about my work .... Yes, yes !!! Exactly!!! I work in a service center. Although my responsibilities include the repair and maintenance of computer components, digital photo and video equipment, but our center is quite large! And we also deal with household appliances, including HP !!! And what do you think - what are the most common breakdowns in HP? EXACTLY!!!!!!!! Broken bushings and burnt-out motors! Do you know that we answer people in this case on behalf of manufacturers? We answer that the breakdown was due to improper operation of the product, and therefore the warranty service was denied! And we recommend that you strictly follow the instructions attached to the product in the future!
Dear, the metric system is used because it is understandable and universal and does not contain any abstract units of measurement!
So, those who wish, shove an incomprehensible amount of ingredients into your HP. We are waiting for you at service centers to issue you with refusals in warranty service.

"P.S." Replacing the bushing costs an average of $ 27.5. Replacing an electric motor costs an average of $ 45. And a drive replacement is about $ 30.
Good luck ...
"Freesia" you shouldn't be offended - it all depends not on the volume (weight) of the baked goods, but on the water / flour ratio. If you get too thick a mass, then you cannot avoid problems.

Dear Angry Service Worker! Unimportant You are probably a technician repair worker if you are not familiar with the instructions for them. For example, in my LV bread maker, the Russian chef all the recipes in the booklet are given in measuring glasses and tablespoons and teaspoons. It is just that practically all bread makers come with measuring cups and a measuring spoon and it says how many ml it is, for example, at my 230ml oven. It's just that the author of the recipe needs to add what volume the measuring glass of his bread machine is, that's all.

"There are for these purposes" measuring "home electronic scales and measuring transparent glasses (with a scale in milliliters)" !!!
And a measuring cup to C / P is not a transparent measuring cup with a scale in milliliters ??? !!! ... Learn more!
And did you know that using elementary school knowledge of mathematics, you can easily calculate the recipe for your volume !!!

xxxspidya ... what a surge of emotions out of the blue.

Respected alex_gaid!

If the recipes do not specify the cup volume separately, then it is by default 240 ml. Rye flour in this volume - 130 g, wheat flour - 150 g. Further - elementary mathematics, we multiply grams by the number of cups and do not break the bread machine.

I dare to remind you that friendly and correct communication is accepted on our forum

That's just a separate conversation about LG. Based on my experience, I cannot name a single name of the products manufactured by this company that would have kept at least in the middle, among other manufacturers ... I sympathize with you.
And it should be indicated - not milliliters, but grams, when it comes to flour. T. to.flour of different manufacturers, types and types has different weights for one volume.

Have you seen a hint of metric measurement in the above recipe ???
It is not difficult to calculate, but it is advisable to know what to start from.

recipes with cups are very inconvenient.
This is not the first interesting recipe that I refuse because of the incomprehensible amount of ingredients.
A big request to the author of the review and to the admins.
I would be very grateful (I think I'm not the only one) if all the recipes are in grams x, and in cups and mugs - in addition.

I don't even go through recipes with measurements of flour in cups at all. It is much more convenient to weigh the required amount of flour directly into a sieve. A huge request to the moderators to protect bakers from mathematical calculations in terms of converting the volume to weight, because sometimes we have to deal with the conversion for a different amount of flour.

Why are such strictness?

And if a person bakes bread in the country or in the field? Should he carry the scales with him too?
It is enough to remember once the ratio of flour / liquid / yeast and you can measure them all your life in cans after eaten stew.
