My husband loves Tzatziki sauce. I chopped a kg of yogurt, baked a cake and the nutrition problem was solved for two days - until the sauce is over, the husband will not take anything else in his mouth (sweet pastries do not count for coffee).
But I am more than cool about fresh cucumbers. Therefore, I replace fresh ones with salty ones.
It turned out that I'm not the only one so smart!
Recently in "Smak" some man was preparing "Tsatsiki" with pickled cucumbers, and Lika also told that in Cyprus this sauce is prepared only with pickles.

Tzatziki sauce with pickled cucumbers

1 kg of 10% yoghurt (if there is no such fatty yoghurt, take yoghurt in half with sour cream)
6-7 pieces of small cucumbers (I have very small, almost gherkins, so we are not particularly zealous, it is better to add later to taste)
3 cloves of garlic
small bunch of parsley and dill
salt, pepper to taste (I didn't have to add anything, it turned out just right)

Cut the cucumbers into very small cubes, press the garlic through a press, finely chop the greens. We mix everything, taste, add salt and pepper to taste. It is better to cook the sauce the day before, so that it is infused.

Joy I do it with sour cream (that's why we are waiting for thrush). When there is no homemade sour cream of any fat content. It is problematic to find yogurt without additives here
