Minced meat casserole with pickled apples

400 g sour apples
Peel the apples, cut into 4 pieces, core them, cut into slices approximately 0.5 cm thick

marinade

0.5 liters of water
2 table. tablespoons of vinegar
1 table. spoonful of sugar
ginger, cloves

Boil the marinade. Pour the prepared apples with hot marinade, leave to marinate for 30 minutes. Drain the marinade, dry the apples.

minced meat

500 gr mixed minced meat (50:50 pork, beef)
1 medium onion
1 medium carrot
2 cloves of garlic
1 small potato
3 table. tablespoons of semolina soaked in 4 tablespoons. spoons of milk
salt, pepper, spices, fresh or dry herbs to taste
2 table. tablespoons of dry fried onions (it was necessary to attach the rest)

Grate onion, garlic, potatoes, carrots on a fine grater. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix the minced meat thoroughly.

Grease a baking dish with oil and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Put the minced meat in a mold, flatten.
Fan the apples on top. Salt each layer of apples, sprinkle with paprika powder, curry, your favorite seasoning, sprinkle with soy sauce.
Cover the mold with a lid or foil and place in an oven preheated to 200 ° (convection 180 °). When the extracted juice boils, reduce the temperature to 150 ° (convection 130 °) and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the lid or foil, increase the temperature again to 200 ° (convection 180 °) and bake for another 15 minutes until golden brown.
Let the cooked casserole stand under the lid for 15 minutes so that the juice is absorbed.
