Ingredients

Brown lentils 200 g
Water or broth 1 l
Potato 2 medium
Bacon 125 g
Smoked sausages

Celery or parsley root a piece
Adjika or pepper paste 1 tsp
Soy sauce (optional) 1 tbsp. l.
Garlic 1 clove
Fresh or dry parsley
Salt, pepper, spices taste

Cooking method

  • Since the lentils cook quickly, I don't soak them. But if you want, you can soak it in the evening. The water in which the lentils were soaked must be drained.
  • Rinse the lentils, add broth or water (this time I cooked in chicken broth, although I often cook in water) and cook until tender.
  • Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and dip into the soup. Chop the small onion as small as possible, put it in the soup.
  • Prepare frying. In warmed vegetable oil, fry the diced onion until golden brown, add the diced bacon, fry until golden brown, add the carrots and celery or parsley root grated on a fine grater, simmer, add adjika or pepper paste, simmer until the oil turns red. Add bell peppers, chopped into noodles, simmer.
  • Cut the sausages coarsely (into 4 pieces), add to the soup.
  • Add the finished frying to a saucepan, season the soup with salt, pepper, soy sauce, fresh or dry herbs, add chopped garlic.
  • Let the soup steep for 20-40 minutes.
  • Soup highly thick, there is a spoon in it! If you don't like this, pour 1.5 liters of liquid.
