The benefits of poultry meat

Mcooker: best recipes About healthy eating

The benefits of poultry meatIn the old days, the presence of meat dishes in the diet was considered almost mandatory, but nowadays people increasingly prefer to eat plant foods. At the same time, many advocate a complete rejection of eating meat. But it should be borne in mind that one of the components of human nutrition is protein, so it must be obtained from food in sufficient quantities. Protein is needed by the body to renew tissue.

Protein is also found in plant foods, however, in its composition, unlike meat, there is also a lot of fiber, which is more difficult to digest. For the normal functioning of the intestine, a person needs both plant and animal food. At the same time, when eating only plant foods, a person does not satisfy all his needs. In addition, the food in the body does not even have time to digest, although the feeling of satiety does not disappear due to the long time of digestion.

Iron, which is needed for hematopoiesis and ensuring the correct consistency of blood, is absorbed by the human body exclusively from animal food, and it is impossible to obtain it from plant food. This can lead to oxygen starvation of the brain. This is especially dangerous for young children. If children constantly lack the iron they need, then they may develop dementia in a short time. It is possible to replace meat with milk, fish and eggs, but at the same time it will be necessary to take into account the fact that the abuse of fish can create a great burden on the liver, and eggs and milk in large quantities are not able to be absorbed.

So, meat is necessary and sufficient. But which meat is better to choose? And how can you reduce its harmful effects on the body? First of all, we note the fact that poultry meat is much healthier than pork or beef.

Poultry meat is very nutritious, but at the same time it is low in calories, and it contains everything you need - vitamins, minerals and protein. At the same time, the amount of fat in breasts, as well as in white meat, is minimal, so it is perfect for those who are on a diet. But at the same time, the legs are more useful, since the content of iron and various other minerals in them is much higher.

Also, there are advantages and disadvantages for individual bird breeds. The market leader in Russia is always a hen... Chicken has the most optimal ratio of proteins and fats, it also contains a lot of magnesium, zinc, copper, and at the same time it is quite cheap. But you should take into account the fact that chicken protein is quite strong allergen, and not everyone is able to tolerate it normally. But allergy sufferers can eat turkey meat. It is free of allergens, and at the same time it is low in calories. It contains iron, phosphorus, calcium.

There is also almost no cholesterol in turkey meat. But this is its disadvantage - because sometimes we want to eat something more fatty. And in this case, the meat of waterfowl ducks and geese can help you. Despite the high content of fat in their meat, it almost does not contain cholesterol, and is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins. Duck and goose liver is considered a delicacy. But buying geese and ducks for constant consumption is not economical, since they are not cheap, and there is little meat in the carcasses.

You should choose a bird following several rules. It is better to choose not frozen, but chilled meat. The structure of the fibers during freezing is usually disturbed, and this should be taken into account. In addition, the buyer is forced to pay extra for the water retained in the meat using a special chemical composition.During defrosting, many vitamins and nutrients leave the meat with water and juice.

Poultry meat can be stored for no more than five days, so if you see a different shelf life on the package, it means that preservatives have been added to it. If the carcass of a duck or goose is in its original packaging, then keep in mind that it must be airtight, there should be no blood clots inside it. If you buy an unpackaged bird carcass, then its color should ideally be pale yellow with a slightly pinkish tint. At the same time, there should be no stains on the skin, as well as blood stains and foreign odors.
