How to raise a talented child?

Take ourselves: in the presence of one person, we feel light and natural, we become attractive, sharp, cheerful, light, and in the presence of another we seem to become stiff - tongue-tied, poor thoughts, limited feelings appear ... That is why it is so important for a child the question of who will introduce it into life. Important for all children, and especially for talented ones. There are very few of them, especially capable, bright, extraordinary. All the more relevant is the question: how to discover talent, how to help it develop.

Pay attention to the fact that today, when most of our children, it would seem, received conditions favorable enough for development, such as their peers of the 19th century could only dream of, it cannot be said that there are more talented people from this. Of course, they were, are and will be. But, like everything precious, in small quantities. How can this be explained? Isn't nature the same now? Have you and I gotten worse? Most likely, you shouldn't sin on nature. Look around - wherever you look today, there are solid contenders for the title of geeks. Our accelerators think and do everything faster than their old peers, they have a more serious system of knowledge. This means that it is not about potencies. And in what? We believe that in two important points, which, in essence, we have already spoken about.

The first moment It deals with the problem of the Mentor. Let us analyze the state of affairs: yesterday a beginning genius was taught and raised by ... an accomplished genius! And today he is taught sometimes by far from the best teachers. And this even applies to specialized schools for high school students, in which a competitive selection of students is carried out and for some reason there is no corresponding principle for the selection of mentors. If the child does not meet a mentor (he may be not only a teacher, but also one of the parents), then the abilities will flow into the sand of everyday life and routine. And this applies to all children without exception, regardless of their abilities and skills. However, shedding tears over the absence of a long-awaited teacher is a waste of time. Isn't it better to move from passive expectation to active action, that is, to improve your knowledge yourself in order to help your son or daughter realize himself. The main thing is to realize a simple truth: a person cannot be “made” or “fashioned” at will. A small creature will not be able to improve, will not be able to "stand out" as a personality, if it does not show its own activity.

You cannot pass the science of life from hand to hand. Each person has to comprehend it through their own experience of discoveries, joys, mistakes. There is no other way. This is the first and foremost truth to be learned.

In other words, the environment should not be perceived as a developmental environment. After all, external conditions are refracted through internal circumstances - the biological characteristics of the organism, an individual biography, the contradictory nature of the roles performed by the child ... Moreover, the environmental influences themselves change depending on the addressee (we refer to our daughter and son, to a baby and a schoolchild in different ways, to the healthy and to the sick)

Second truth. Material in living conditions is undoubtedly an important component. But not the only and not the main thing! Good conditions are, first of all, the circumstances that provide the child with the physical and mental health, safety, love and understanding of authoritative adults; it is a cultural background, educational qualification, a family's system of moral values ​​...

The question is: do the living conditions allow or hinder the development of the child, whether the family contributes to the growth of a viable, optimistic, communicative person.

Children always pay for parental indifference.

Its essence is as follows: it is very important that not only a smart teacher and you and I need to grow a harmonious and diversified personality out of a baby, but also society as a whole. Is there a need today? Fortunately, yes. The time that replicated similarity and obedience as the highest virtues is passing away. Society today does not need "cogs" and "gears", but creative, original, thinking individuals. And this is encouraging. Therefore, it is now up to a small thing - to hear the pulse of time and fulfill the order received from it. And not so much is needed - to develop the natural need of a little person to assert his I. It seems to be quite easy, right?

However, unfortunately, sometimes we, adults, resort to unsuitable means to solve the problem, encroaching on the nature of a native being. And it doesn't go unnoticed.
